We tried Dynatrace for monitoring, but the solution was quite costly compared to ManageEngine's Application Manager. But from a purely business point of view, Dynatrace is also a good tool and we found both satisfies our requirements.

AppDynamics and New Relic were considered but it was straightforward to use ManageEngine APM for our use case due to the cost and an existing relationship with the local partner of ManageEngine. No technical trial was done with AppDynamics or New Relic..

I evaluated CA and IBM.

In the cases of:

• ManageEngine Application Manager vs Dynatrace
• ManageEngine Application Manager vs CA APM
• ManageEngine Application Manager vs BMC.

The features on the dashboard of ManageEngine Application Manager are much better than these other solutions. Furthermore, I found that those solutions can be quite costly in comparison.
