Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics Implementation Team
There's no consultant involved in this as far as the platform architecture is concerned because I own that architecture end to end.

Deployment can take some time because you first have to collect and develop the data through client relations. This can cause lags.
View full review »One of the benefits of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is that you shouldn't have to do any maintenance. It's all done behind the scenes. There is a serverless feature, where it'll expand and add RAM and add resources as needed. You have to be careful with the cost.

We need assistance from a third-party vendor for product implementation.
View full review »For deployment, basically, I navigate to the Azure portal. I have my container ready, and I connect it to my repository. I use a deployment pipeline to deploy the solution. Sometimes, I use the Azure CLI to put in my code and connect it. It really just depends on where I'm getting my data from. It doesn't take me long, just a few minutes. It just depends on how I'm trying to access the data.
I work with one other person, so it's not just me. So, two people were involved in the process.

It took approximately six months to implement Azure Synapse Analytics in our organization. We set up the data warehouse features for internal use across 200 users, including data specialists, service managers, and tech workers who manage our own data and also our customers' data.
For the main deployment, we used a third-party support provider in Chile who helped us greatly.

It depends on whether you have those resources internally or not. If you have internal resources you wouldn't need to outsource, if you don't have, you would. So it's not a matter of how good that application is but a question of whether you have the capability in house.

There was actually one consultant at the beginning of the project. We will also definitely need someone for future migration. However, it's not something that we are considering at present. It's something we'll need to do probably in the next few months. It will depend on the growth of the business.

You don't really need to maintain it. That's the entire point of the cloud. You pay for it to be maintained.
We do deal with monitoring and other similar things, but most of the activities are automated. Overall, it doesn't require a lot of labor around it. We're delivering the platform as infrastructure as a cloud, so everything is going through the pipeline.
