Previously, we used Sublime for backend connectivity. We switched because Sublime is a basic and not a standard tool for companies. We can create only small projects using it. However, Microsoft Visual Studio is an open-source tool that offers a lot of technologies. With its help, we can develop applications in various languages, create Windows or iOS software, and even build console applications.
View full review »We chose Microsoft Visual Studio due to the fact that it's a .NET part for developing applications and contains many more things like C#, a mobile application for Xamarin, and MBC, et cetera. That's why many people are using it. I can't speak to what was used before.
View full review »I didn't switch from another platform or vendor. That said, I combined something with Visual Studio Code. There are some plugins that only I can use in Visual Studio Code and the Visual Studio Code community is more active.
