Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We are using it for scripting, and it is end user based with screen captures. It is a bit easier to use than any of the other tools out there.""No other competitor has this email trigger, so it saves a lot of time if you automate the process. We don't need to fix a time for a task to run. It gives the feature of on demand execution for any task. Whenever a user wants, it can send a mail and get the task done as soon as possible.""The best feature is the drag-and-drop command. Users with less coding knowledge can also automate their end-to-end processes very easily.""Automation Anywhere's most valuable feature is its seamless integration into procurement software, allowing for the automation of purchase orders, billing, employee travel details, and other tasks.""The most valuable features of Automation Anywhere are Excel, periods, database, and email action.""Automation Anywhere has improved our company a lot. The SLA of some tasks that we need to deliver to some clients has improved greatly.""It is easy to use and very scalable.""It is very easy to use, very easy to learn. That is the main advantage of this tool. You don't need to have very specialized skills to learn it."

"Nintex RPA often includes security features, including encryption and user access controls, which ensure the protection of sensitive data and compliance with security standards.""The initial setup process is easy.""Nintex RPA doesn't require much coding, and you can drag and drop the activities."

Cons
"We have used the technical support. I am quite unhappy with the support part. The higher priority tickets are not getting resolved within the SLA. Higher priority tickets for production issues should be looked into immediately. However, until they get escalated, tickets are not receiving higher priority. I would like to see this improve.""Setting up Automation Anywhere is a bit complex.""If we are going through the high availability in the IQ Bot setup, it's a bit complex.""Right now, we are using a VM with Automation Anywhere installed inside it, but it would be nice if the solution could be used on macOS.""When working with Excel, unlike other tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere does not have the standard variables for .Net data types.""The API integration should be improved further since it is a bit difficult at the moment to connect with the API in the enterprise version.""I would like to have a bot as a service platform on AA Cloud. This would minimize the installation process, and we wouldn't need to have all the hardware to support the platform in-house.""Unwanted windows are popping up. We have to train a bot to recognize the window if it comes up, know what it is, and click it. If it is interrupting our bot, I just want to avoid that window, because I am getting failed logs."

"Nintex RPA is not suitable for PDF automation.""There could be some features to fix compatibility issues with firmware.""Further simplifying the low-code development process can attract a broader user base by making automation accessible to those with minimal technical skills."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."
