Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We are able to be more effectively connected to computers and servers all over the world.""The support team who are interfacing with us, are excellent. They are on time for any response.""It is a lightweight, reliable solution that gives IT a direct visual of occurring issues.""We have the ability to securely assist users remotely with a stable product, which allows for reporting capabilities, SAML authentication, and ServiceNow integration.""We like that it records the remote sessions. If a technician is logged into a user remotely to fix any problem, it records the decision.""Bomgar has given us the ability to manage the majority of our calls from a remote location making response times quicker and more efficient.""The solution has been very stable. We haven't had issues at all. It doesn't crash or freeze. There aren't bugs or glitches either.""It has allowed us to quickly address the needs and issues of our end users."

"Its video recording capabilities have definitely been key for us.""WALLIX Bastion's most valuable feature is the Access Manager because you can use it and access the data center without any client VPN.""The interface is very simple. It doesn't need any plug-ins, just browsers that are installed at the beginning.""I like that it's Linux-based, and you don't need to have separate implementations, extra database licenses, or enterprise licenses. I think because it's Linux-based, it's more seamless than Windows. I also like the access manager, which I think is a super tool. Everything is browser-based, and you don't need a VPN. So, that's a great thing.""The support is great. They offer 24/7 support, but the specific level of support depends on your subscription. There's a weekday-only option, and a 24/7 option that covers all days of the week. They also have offices in different regions, including West Africa, so people there can easily get support. There's no need to worry about getting assistance.""The solution's technical support team is helpful."

Cons
"Lacks remote support and privileged remote access in the one product.""Static notes for hosts: If I could enter notes on a Jump Client and have them appear every time I connect to that Client, it would be a huge benefit.""Non-Windows support capabilities need improvement. They need to expand into Macs, iOS, and Android. It's there now, however, there's room for growth and that's probably the best area to expand.""It needs better Linux support. We have had issues with Ubuntu specifically.""The ability to connect mobile devices could be improved. Smartphones and tablets are becoming more prevalent throughout corporate environments. From time to time, we have problems connecting to those devices. You can't stage the application to connect without a user's input. You had to guide them through enabling permissions for the app. Then they need to enter the URL and session key. It would be great if they could streamline that process.""The screen annotation tools could be expanded. I would like to see a text/typing annotation tool.""I would also like to see better support of Apple devices while using a Windows remote support console.""I would like to see more integration with iOS devices along with better connectivity and communication with these devices."

More BeyondTrust Remote Support Cons →

"The password management needs improvement. Management of Access Manager should be improved as well.""Based on my experience as a sales tech person, one area of improvement could be a more unified licensing model.""For me, the main issue has to do with the system performance itself.""The product doesn't have behavior analytics. They promised to develop this, but only for the cloud, not for on-premise versions.""The performance of WALLIX Bastion's password manager is very low.""There could be more automation features for the solution.""It would be better if I could manage multiple accounts in one place, like CyberArk. With WALLIX, you can only manage one account, and you are given a separate category. You have to click on each connection to do anything. For example, CyberArk might give three options for one connection if you want to have an interactive user-level experience. But with WALLIX, you have to click three times to get that access. Also, the biggest disadvantage of WALLIX is the reporting. I feel like it's very weak in reporting when compared to the other solutions. As a solution, they're good and stable. But they need to make their reports neater and better. Right now, we're going to the console and then pressing buttons every single time."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "This product provides value for money."
  • "The product maintenance and licensing costs are on the higher end, so I would carefully review how many licenses you need. The concurrent license model is helpful in this manner."
  • "Pricing is reasonable for what the service is offering. If it is looked at from a purely remote control perspective then it might appear expensive, but it is the wider functionality that should be considered too."
  • "Bomgar has a very fair pricing structure."
  • "Although the upfront cost is a bit overwhelming, the appliance will pay for itself in less than two years."
  • "The setup is complex. Purchase the remote implementation service and make them slow down and work with you."
  • "I would like to order more licenses. This would allow us to support more end users concurrently."
  • "I highly recommend using the tech team properly trained by Bomgar. This will help the tool be more useful."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by BeyondTrust Remote Support users.

A Cybersecurity Architect at a tech vendor says, “The most valuable features are the ease of deployment, performance, pre and post-sales support, the vast majority of the localization they have done and the solution provider that they support. You can't compete with TeamViewer or any other similar products. It's completely in a class of its own.”

An Enterprise Service Desk Systems Manager at a manufacturing company comments, "Screen sharing, in general, is pretty important for a service desk. Another thing that I have found to be very helpful is that you can also do screen sharing on a cell phone. When people have an issue with their cell phone, it is ordinarily very difficult to troubleshoot the issue. With BeyondTrust Remote Support, you can share the cell phone screen, and somebody can take a look at it remotely. I am not sure if other competing solutions offer this feature. It is pretty user-friendly. It is also good performance-wise."

PeerSpot user Mark B., Sr VP of Business Operations at Networking Technologies and Support, Inc., explains that he thinks the solution is “Great for delivering end-user support, good at recording sessions, and very stable.

WALLIX offers cybersecurity and privileged access management solutions that secure and protect your most critical IT assets.
