"It's easy to push out across numerous servers. Very scalable.""It gives us visibility inside applications. It helps us to dig down and find the root cause of any issue within the network.""MultiWAN and Balance service""What I like about DX Unified Infrastructure Management is that it's a very good product. The feature I found most valuable in the solution is the MCS feature, which is the automatic deployment of the objects you want to monitor. You can set up a system, for example, if it's a Windows machine and I want to test specific devices on it, I could do that through DX Unified Infrastructure Management. That type of deployment is very good because it means you won't miss any monitoring aspect on any server.""It gives an alarm when there's something going on, not just when there's an expected spike that happens every night on a server.""Great customized dashboards and drill down reports with auto serve analytics.""The benefit is easy installation. Thus, the model approach of the product and out-of-the-box probes, which deliver direct value.""Scalability and flexibility. The product can grow with your infrastructure so you don't have to install other products. Just add components. It's very simple."

"Provides timely notifications.""The most valuable feature of Nagios Core is it allows us to develop and add as many plugins as we want.""Nagios Core is stable.""The notifications are definitely one of the most valuable features of Nagios Core. We know what to look for and what to expect when things are down.""Dashboard provides monitor of total assets.""It has made the life of the network operations staff more proactive in managing the resources of the infrastructure. It prevents disasters long before they can take place.""Our customers like that Nagios Core is an open source solution. It can be customized to our customers' specific needs.""The solution is quite efficient."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"Making a GUI with criteria such as selection by robot/hub/probe etc.""There is also room for improvement in the reporting. It is not really good enough, according to our customers. So what we now usually do is use Power BI to get them the kinds of reports they want.""A useful feature to have would be automatic configuration per standard by new robots that check in for any particular customer.""The company has not kept pace with developments.""We have experienced challenges with finding a mechanism to deploy the agents, but it's only on the first deployment so it's not a big issue.""We had to do some work to make what was more of a business class solution work at an enterprise level.""We would like to see automatic network topology.""I'm very happy with DX Unified Infrastructure Management, but what could be improved is its user interface because currently, it has many wide spaces. All the information you need is in DX Unified Infrastructure Management, and it's a reliable tool, and though that's more important than the gaps in the user interface being smaller or wider, those gaps still need some improvement. I know the team is working on it. My company had some backend problems with DX Unified Infrastructure Management in the past that have now been solved. The setup for the tool also needs improvement because it's complex. Another room for improvement in DX Unified Infrastructure Management is its technical support because it's sometimes not as knowledgeable or responsive. What I'm suggesting to be added to the tool is an open-standard ELK Elastic-based database where you can put in all data, so that you can use the data in other systems as well."

"Would benefit from aggregations if a particular server goes down.""Making it a little easier to configure and set up from the start would help. There are multiple layers that you have to wade through to be able to set it up, to do it the right way, and to get it to do what you want it to do.""The dashboard and monitoring features could be improved.""There is room for improvement in the graphics.""Nagios Core could improve by adding a user interface. If you want the user interface you have to use Nagios XI.""The initial setup process could be easier.""Bandwidth monitoring is the pain point for me because Nagios Core does not monitor bandwidth effectively like Cacti does.""The scalability needs improvement, it's not scalable at this time."

  • "This product is expensive compared to other vendors (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)."
  • "The product-price ratio is better than other brands such as Fortinet or SonicWall."
  • "The license cost depends on the number of probes and robots."
  • "Reasonable setup cost and licensing prices."
  • "CAD $400,000 annually."
  • "Customers pay for the license and the support."
  • "Pricing for DX Unified Infrastructure Management isn't cheap at all. It's a complex tool, so you have to pay more. No one is happy with a large bill to pay, but if it's a complex product and you designed a complex solution to be monitored, it'll be your fault that you need to buy an expensive product, and that would be implicit in the design of DX Unified Infrastructure Management. Monitoring is just a small part of it. Sometimes you have to pay a significant amount of money for a complex yet very good solution."
