We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The extensible framework for authentication is one of the most valuable features. We use an MFA plug-in and a lot of different factors, depending on what the business use-cases are. And of course, the auditing functionality is also valuable.""The transparent mode for privileged sessions is one of the best things for customers, because they don't see the system in-between.""The system is easy to manage, as it is not a system that you will change everything all of a sudden. It evolves most of the time with customer requests.""The transparent mode for privileged sessions is a very good solution.""It is easy to manage. There is a very logical, clear user interface. Also, the integration of scripts is thoughtfully implemented. Overall, it's a nice product to manage.""The technical support is tremendous.""The most unique and valuable features are the upstream and downstream throughput capacities; the Safeguard platform provides agile integration. In actuality, all the features are valuable. They're good, user-friendly.""The way the solution is installed and deployed is very valuable. They make it very easy."

"It is a solution that helps test and measure customer satisfaction.""The most valuable feature is the ability to search through a large amount of data.""The most valuable features are its data aggregation and the ability to automatically identify a number of threats, then suggest recommended actions upon them.""Because of some of the visualizations that we utilize, we are able to understand strange, unusual traffic on our networks.""The most valuable feature is being able to take data and put it into other systems so that we could see the output, and to see where we need to apply our focus.""It's straightforward in terms of configuration and troubleshooting and log management and monitoring as well. These are the edge points in addition to it being a modular solution where you can capitalize on your current licenses with extra licensing models, which can match the customer's business requirement and it can help the customer to design or to actually plan for their own roadmap.""The solution is extremely scalable. Our customers are regularly scaling up after installing Splunk.""The most valuable features are the indexing and powerful search features."

Cons
"Even though we have two nodes, there's no way to do an upgrade without taking everything completely offline. It would be nice if they could improve that.""For some users, the physical appliance has been a bit buggy.""We would like to be able to generate certificate signing requests (CSRs) from the interface for certificates.""On a scale of one to ten, the stability is an eight.""The high availability function of the box requires a long time to switch over from one appliance to another.""The automated change of the passwords, which is now integrated, could be improved to be more flexible regarding different systems.""Our experience with technical support has been disappointing. We require more prompt and faster response times. We require answers to our questions right away but we haven't received that level of support.""I would like to see an adjustment with more enterprise architecture. You can buy multiple appliances but you can not fully separate different functions, so scaling might be a bit more complicated."

More One Identity Safeguard Cons »

"There are occasional bugs.""It could be easier to scale the solution if you are using it on-premise, not in the cloud.""The initial setup was complex because some of the configurations that we required needed customization.""The solution is much more expensive than relative competitors like ArcSight or LogRhythm. It makes it hard to sell to customers sometimes.""They should work to add more built-in correlation searches and more use cases based on worldwide customer experiences. They need more ready-made use cases.""The correlation engine should have persistent and definable rules.""In the future I would like to see simplified statistics and analytical threats.""The ability to do more complicated data investigation would be a welcome addition for pros, though the functionality now gives most people what they need."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Setup cost, pricing and licensing are all very expensive.""Our licensing costs are on a yearly basis.""It was definitely cheaper than the other two products that we evaluated.""They offer a fair price for a robust solution.""The full license is expensive but if you plan to use it in a big organization then it is the best option because it is more flexible.""It is a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. You don't want to get anything too cheap because then you get cheap stuff and cheap support. That really never helps anybody.""The pricing is about $80,000 per 100 servers. There are few elective costs.""We have a yearly license. The cost depends on how much a company wants to invest in technology. In our organization, we believe in modern digitization and automation processes so we found it affordable. One Identity was not that much less than other solutions and it is not a cheap solution. There were number of cheaper solutions. However, it's the most effective, according to our evaluation."

"I hope we can increase the free license to be more than 5 gig a day. This would help people who want to introduce a POC or a demo license for the solution.""My biggest complaint is the way they do pricing... You can never know the pricing for next year. Every single time you adjust to something new, the price goes up. It's impossible to truly budget for it. It goes up constantly.""There are additional costs associated with the integrator.""The licensing costs is around 10,000 dollars.""Pricing varies based on the packages you choose and the volume of your usage."
