It's not the Db2 LUW, which is Linux, Unix, Windows. It's the mainframe. It's the active-active, high availability environment that we need for the aggressive SLAs that we've got here in Saudi Arabia.

In my current project, where we're taking information from an old IBM mainframe and using Db2 to convert those checkups into GRP (Government resource planning solution).

We have a transaction server, Db2, that already exists in one place. We have our own solution using Oracle. So, from this transaction, we're taking information from Db2. We're running about the engine, that is, the various queries. And they're taking the information into our Oracle server. That's the way we're cleaning and fine-tuning the information taken from one system to our system. And that system is Db2.

We are using our own developed workflow management system. We're working mainly for IMF and World Bank with Asian Development Bank. Based on the aids, they're giving in that particular workflow, we define the process needed for any country receiving aid.

We provide the solution to any government's finance department in any country. So, in team mode, they previously had the IBM solution. We're using our GRP solution, which is a public finance government resource planning solution. We need to use the existing system. On top of that, we're providing the vendors and information to the public regarding the aid they're getting from that department.

So it's like a combination of solutions using various components to provide the solution in GRP from the existing IBM solution.

Our primary use case of Db2 Database is for online transactions.

I'm helping customers migrate from Oracle to Db2. I am also assisting with business intelligence using Db2 Database.

I was a heavy user of IBM Db2 Database. So, I used it for very complex queries because data extensively was with the mainframe database.

We are using IBM Db2 Database for our data center.

We're using the solution for an e-commerce project. 

I am currently using IBM Db2 for z/OS. It is used to manage a huge amount of structured business data and provides DB services for many different applications.

We use the solution for handling retail customer information. We use it as an integration broker. It stores all the vendor information.

I'm using this solution for a financial network. I make and prepare the databases for analysis.

I'm using version 11.5. There are 1,200 people using this solution in my organization. It's deployed on-premise.

We use it for the core banking business. We have Db2 for z/OS 2.4 on the IBM mainframe machine. It is on-premises of one of the big banks in Israel.

We work with a few use cases suggested by the IBM Watson Library. All the data is inside the event processor, we can extract it with a query. There are multiple use cases already in the IBM marketplace.

I use IBM Db2 Database for an application that we use in the marketing sector.

I was a consultant.

It is installed on the mainframe that we use for our applications.

I used DB2 two years ago. It's a data warehouse project solution for a bank. I use DB2 as a warehouse and the data stacks for the APL.

My role in this project was as a database designer. I would design the database, the warehouse, and get the requirements. 

I am not detailed in the technicality of creating the table in DB2.

I am now selling this product.

It's shipped with another software IBM product called Maximo. I'm using it just as an underline. It is a typical database. I use it as a database container.  

I use the product to audit databases, SQL statements, and user activities. I am currently working on migrating the on-premise database to IBM Docker.

The solution is running on top of IBM I proprietary hardware/software. It shows great stability. DB2 has improved the way our organization functions because we do not have to tune it. There is an autotuning function integrated into the OS, which is useful. On other databases, there is a need to do tunning from time to time.

Our company uses the solution as a database service for a client in the furniture manufacturing industry. 

The primary use for our Db2 database is for OLAP (Online Analytical Processing). Our department is using it for data warehousing and data analysis.  

We are deploying some of our enterprise systems to Azure. We would like to migrate data there and most of the systems will be running on the infrastructure as a service, so we will have lots of servers. Migrating data from Db2 becomes an important matter.  

Our target currently is to create the infrastructure which would include the servers, the backup solutions, the databases, application servers and whatever else we need.  

The primary use case of the IBM Db2 Database is our trading platform.

We use store procedures and SQL. 

We have some tables with partitions, as well as some tables with a large amount of data. 

We use partitions, we use views, and we know who uses them.

We use it to manage a data warehouse for customers. The data warehouse is focused on marketing, commercial and sales data.

We are a bank. The banking system uses IBM Db2 Database to save data in the database.

The only reason we are using IBM Db2 Database is that our client has an IBM setup for a data warehouse.

The primary uses for this product have to do with the card management system for banks. We are working mostly in the financial sector and banking sector, so there are some card management systems there that we often work with. There are some databases for which we see value in using Db2, so we are working with this solution.  

Db2 is our primary database for applications in our two data centers. We have a large number of financial transactions that happen every day, and Db2 handles our transaction management.

The solution is a major central relational database management system that maintains all of the data for our bank's core business.

We use IBM Db2 Database to monitor the deadlock's thread pool status of a particular DB or the particular process or whatever the corresponding DB instance is. We do this for the customer's requirement.

We are partners with IBM and I'm for implementing Power systems with DB2 in this company. 

We use the solution as a database that connects to some legacy mainframe systems.

I am an ex IBM employee, and I used to be the brand ambassador for Db2 in Africa. So, I do understand how it works because I've used it with customers. Currently, I am mostly supporting some of the Db2 customers in Kenya.

I am now using version 11.1, but I used version 10.5 for the longest time. 

We are not using this with other users, it is dedicated to our backup solution.

We only have one instance, one user, one service, and we don't have any other users or clients that we connect to.

A database system is a tool used for reporting and to monitor if it is running or if there are any issues. We can set alarms and warnings. It is a backup system that manages the backup.

Some customers use it for imaging databases, and others use it for ERP systems.

IBM Db2 Database is a relational database and we use it for all our company's transaction data.

I handle implementation. I install the Db2 Database before I send it to the developer or the application team. Also, sometimes, I have to migrate the database from one platform to another.

We use the on-prem deployment model of this solution. 

Db2 is mainly used for Core Banking Systems, credit card systems, and production systems for CBS collecting.

We use this solution for financial software and also for asset management.

We have a public cloud deployment using Microsoft Azure.

Our primary use case for IBM Db2 is ERP.

My main use of Db2 is as an additional data source for integration or a source for integration adapters.

Our primary use case for this solution was as a data lake, in an on-premises deployment.

We stopped using this solution almost a year ago.
