We did not evaluate other products in proof of concept, but we looked at EMC Isilon, NetApp, and Hitachi.
View full review »We also looked at the HPE 3PAR. I liked the array, but we stayed with the EMC product because we already knew how to manage it.

We looked at IBM Storewize V7000.
View full review »When we evaluated SANs, we also looked at solutions by IBM. Our familiarity and relationship with EMC weighed heavily with our choice.
View full review »As indicated, we were on EMC Symmetrix and NetApp. VNX came along at the right time for us and allowed for support and tools consolidation, provided more services and allowed us to reduce overall support costs.

View full review »Yes, IBM XIV and HPE 3PAR.
View full review »Since we were using HPE Storage, we had a look at IBM Storage as well. After a features comparison and our requirements, EMC was the right choice.

View full review »HPE Nimble is a good competing product, especially as it now has the backing of HPE. However, Nimble is a point solution as it is SAN only. If you wanted to add NAS to a Nimble, you could use VMware and UnityVSA, but those are extract costs.

Sadly, I did not have the chance to evaluate other products. The customer chose himself. In my other company, we didn't want to lose the EMC Elite support package and stuck with EMC, not choosing another vendor.
View full review »Before choosing, we looked at EVA from HPE and Compellent from Dell.
View full review »No other options were evaluated.
View full review »NetApp is better with CIFS and file shares.
View full review »We also had the option of NetApp and HP Storage, but from a pricing and support perspective, we preferred EMC.
View full review »Yes, it was compared with EMC VMAX and Dell Compellent.
View full review »I did not evaluate other options, as they already implemented the product before I started working at the company.
View full review »When we compared it with other products, the performance and the security were the advantages that this storage gives us.
