BMC Remedy Room for Improvement
They have a feature called Smart IT, which is like an easy-interfaced use BMC for end users. Maybe if they could add more of the asset features into Smart IT, it would be more helpful to users, in terms of managing assets.
If a user isn't using an out-of-the-box configuration, it can get a bit complex.

I can't see which area in the solution has room for improvement because we had a dedicated team managing it, and we just used it. We were the sub-administrators with a team handling and managing the front end.
However, from a stability perspective, we sometimes had issues, like running out of resources, maxing out, database issues, and the server freezing out and functioning at fifty percent.

The solution must be flexible. Compared to Jira, it's much more complex to customize BMC Remedy’s workflow and the steps to resolve issues. The biggest issue is not with the product itself. It is more with the culture and people who do not want to use the best practices. People often want to customize the tool according to the existing workflows and processes.

BMC has on-call support and incident management features. It's a very redundant feature. From an R&D perspective, BMC lacks features that are very intuitive and easy to implement.
There are issues from a product functionality perspective. ServiceNow is better at taking quick action but there have been certain cases where we have to research their management team and related cases.
There isn't much scope for improvement since it is a powerful component or solution from BMC.
The product's scalability is one area with certain shortcomings that need to be considered for improvement.
I would like to have the option to add the current user on the machine and have a historic record of previous users.
I would like to have more customized reporting because the management team loves customized reports with graphs. This provides them with an experience that allows them to understand what is happening in our cluster.

Sometimes, unknowingly, developers or customer service representatives may create duplicate CIs or assets, leading to inconsistent data. We need to implement measures to ensure that customers do not encounter such inconsistencies and duplicate records. This involves backend policies, procedures, and functional enhancements. It's crucial to provide customers with accurate data and eliminate duplicate CIs or assets.
Along with that, while using the tool for network management and other functionalities, there are several features and options to choose from. To enhance user experience, we can provide customization options so that customers can easily access and utilize the desired features directly from the homepage.

Integration and deployment could be better. It could be easier and faster to integrate and deploy. It would also help if we could have a 360-degree view. It would be better if they changed it to a SaaS type of offering, which is becoming the standard.
I think the way the Software Asset Management is designed makes it kind of complicated. It could be more user friendly for admins to manage. It would be helpful if someone who didn't have complete knowledge about the back end forms could manage this feature.

The integration could be improved.
Another significant area of improvement is UI. The UI is not very intuitive, and it can be difficult to use for some people. It is quite outdated, I also have a lot of customer complaints about the user interface.
I also think the pricing could be a bit lower.
