We performed a comparison between Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Automate based on our users’ reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison of Results: Based on the parameters we compared, Automation Anywhere seems to be a slightly superior solution. All other things being more or less equal, our reviewers found Microsoft Power Automate’s automation capabilities and technical support documents to be lacking. Some users feel that Automation Anywhere’s documentation could also be improved.
"Automation Anywhere helped our organization to get our training and implementation needs successful by providing both community edition and partner edition. Automation Anywhere seamlessly handed off exceptions to employees from Automation Anywhere bots."
"We can integration with other APIs, which is a good thing. This helps us with our database integration. For example, we have done an SAP integration, which is great, since SAP has a lot of manual work."
"The most valuable feature in this solution is the IQ Bot."
"Our first automation removed manual work from employees, so they are now able to more quickly product quality work."
"The way templates can be configured is quite simple - it's a matter of drag and drop."
"What I like about Automation Anywhere is the object cloning and the way you can move the mouse and either go to a particular point or go to an element. That's very easy and intuitive in Automation Anywhere... If I need to mimic a human behavior, I will use Automation Anywhere."
"It extracts what the IQ Bot does, converting it and ensuring the entire process right from the input to the output and is fully automated. It is digitizing a particular process, which is really great."
"The ROI on major bots has been phenomenal."
"Automation is the best feature of the product."
"The initial setup isn't too difficult."
"The solution helps automate manual tasks and interacts with multiple applications."
"It is very easy to learn and use. It is quite useful for any sort of back-office work. Any kind of work with low and medium complexity is very doable in ProcessRobot. For higher complexity, some refinement is required, but it is doable."
"The solution is easy to understand and to develop connectors."
"The initial setup isn't too difficult."
"Its ease of use is most valuable. A lot of the bulk functionality is done either through standalone or custom connectors and standard API processes."
"You can automate almost everything in your organization by simply dragging and dropping and selecting a few options, whether it's an Excel spreadsheet or other on-premise data."
"Automation Anywhere has to be integrated with machine learning and AI systems to read images and videos, then put the information into another format."
"Also, the Master certification should be provided free of cost for partners. More practical samples and examples of bots using new features in A2019 should be available in people Documentation. A2019 presentation material for proposing A2019 as an RPA choice should be provided to partners."
"Anything that can be done to simplify the solution. I would love to see it where anybody who can run Excel will be able to create bots. Right now, I am watching everyone around me struggle with the tool."
"With Citrix, we need a dedicated server to work with it. This has become complicated, as it is not easy to pull all the systems together into one place. It would be better if the Automation Anywhere team could make this easy and simple."
"Automation Anywhere can be improved with respect to the user-friendliness of the interface because most of the competitors are now using a flowchart-like structure, thus making it easy for anyone to learn and study it."
"We have a lot of use cases that depend on certain Java applets, and currently we're not able to leverage the Object Cloning that would speed up our automation designing. So we have to revert to more image recognition-type of designing, and it just takes a long time to get that bot built."
"It should have more commands, which should remove the dependency on MetaBots or other scripts so that everything is available in the tool itself."
"I would like a couple more features where I can talk and the line comes up automatically. I can just put on a mic, like in "Ok Google". With "Ok Google", I can tell it to please open an Excel spreadsheet with the header read. If this is there, then I don't even need to sit on a computer, I can just dictate my commands and it will automatically come up."
"The stability of the product is not very good and can even fail with simple projects."
"One of the challenges is dealing with OCR text recognition."
"The issue lies more in how you learn the solution. The information is very generalized. It could be extremely useful to have more specific information about how to use various features within the platform."
"Microsoft could offer more AI education and training."
"More OCR and AI capabilities are needed to improve the solution. Other solutions have better features, such as Blue Prism and UiPath."
"The initial setup is complex and has room for improvement."
"They can improve the description of errors and provide more details. Sometimes, when I receive an error, I can't understand what is wrong. It would be useful to have a desktop version to modify or edit workflows. Its scalability can also be better."
"When comparing with Automation Anywhere, there are a couple of things that this product doesn't have. One of the major things is the key management system. It would be great if they improve this. Its documentation can also be improved."
