We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I like best about Blue Prism Cloud is that it's secure, robust, and has 24 x 7 support available. I also find the solution quick and intelligent. Even a non-coder can easily use it.""The most valuable feature is security.""The ease of building automation and the development environment""It’s scalable.""I would say that the stability of Blue Prism is superior to any of the competing products because of the maintainability of the features and the openness of the tool.""If I look at the top four, I believe it is far more user-friendly than the other competition.""The most valuable feature is the speed at which we are able to implement solutions that can interact through the user interface in the same way that a human being would.""Blue Prism Cloud is a stable solution."

"Pega Robotics offers all the required features to build end-to-end process automation like any other similar tools. It's unique development style using data line and control flow line makes it easy to debug through the flow.""We have a very large operational team and we are able to avoid mistakes and ensure accuracy and speed using Pega.""It is really flexible in what it can do.""Using the tool actually ends up teaching you about making workflows more efficient.""The solution's automation handling capability has positively impacted the overall automation process in my experience.""They are leaders in the same industry.""The workflow system is very intuitive.""It was very smooth and very seamless to create automations."

Cons
"I believe they need to become more competitive within the market in order to maintain their market share. We were essentially a Blue Prism shop and sold Blue Prism, but because of the price point, many clients are now looking at competitors.""Blue Prism might consider adding package options to allow users to come onboard in different ways that meet their needs rather than buying in to the whole package.""I think that there are some improvements in the product performance that are needed in Blue Prism Cloud...The initial setup of the product needs a lot of time and effort.""I would like to see a web-based control room, rather than the one that is in-built with the desktop version.""The issue is that it is not dynamic or intelligent.""The vendor does not make their pricing clear when you are searching for it, which is something that needs to be improved.""Blue Prism Cloud needs to improve support, though documentation is available online. It is not detailed, which does not help.""The AI part is currently missing in Blue Prism Studio... It would be good if the AI part is included in Blue Prism Studio, which can make it much more efficient and good to work."

"Pega Robotic Process Automation scalability is too low.""Rule versioning and deployment to enable parallel development could still be improved""The ease-of-use could be improved.""What I don't like that much in Pega Robotic Process Automation is its monitoring tool because that tool is tightly connected with the platform. If the Pega team can deploy the monitoring tool separately, so that it's a separate solution altogether, then that would be good because currently, if you have to use the monitoring tool, then that means you have to use the Pega Robotic Process Automation platform. The initial setup for Pega Robotic Process Automation also needs improvement because it is complex. The only additional feature I'd like to see in the solution is for the monitoring tool to be a stand-alone rather than being tightly coupled with the Pega platform. Looking at the current features of Pega Robotic Process Automation concerning application automation, it covers most of my needs currently.""The orchestration needs to be better.""Excel connectors need to be improved as there are a few connectors in Excel areas.""Pega has a no-code low-code environment. We do everything based on established rules. You kind-of have to learn how all their rules work and how it works for robotics before you can use the solution effectively.""It's difficult not knowing when alerts will arrive."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing can be negotiated in situations where there will be heavy usage."
  • "The licensing structure is complex and the minimum contract length is three years."
  • "We pay about $15,000 per quarter in licensing costs. We don't have to pay for any other extra costs. There isn't, for example, an extra cost for technical support. We just pay the licensing."
  • "There are many RPA solutions available from different vendors and the pricing for Blue Prism is competitive."
  • "Annual licensing costs were somewhere between $5,000 - $10,000 for the development tool. For the control tower, I think fees were about $50,000 annually."
  • "This solution comes at a medium to high price point. They need to work on their pricing to enable smaller enterprises to get the benefit of using the product."
  • "When compared with UiPath, I believe it will be difficult for Blue Prism to maintain its market share."
  • "Blue Prism comes at a higher price point compared to other solutions on the market."

  • "Pega is pretty costly."
  • "Pega Robotic Process Automation is an expensive solution."
  • "In terms of Pega Robotic Process Automation pricing, I would rate it a five out of five because the solution has a good price. Pricing is not very high, though I'm unsure of the exact cost, based on my experience, the price for Pega Robotic Process Automation is less than Blue Prism because I worked with a few clients that have both solutions and my clients prefer Pega Robotic Process Automation over Blue Prism particularly because of the licensing costs."
  • "Pega is as competitive as the basic players such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere. UiPath is the most expensive, but Pega is at par with Automation Anywhere."
  • "I would rate the product's pricing a nine out of ten."
  • "The licensing cost is too high."
