Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The tool's most valuable feature is data import. The OCR feature helps to recognize the data. It can recognize screen and document numbers well.""This software is very smart - it can decide from a picture if we like that condition, and then the robot will do that action."

"For our organization, the Orchestrator has the most useful setup. All automation is more or less the same. With UiPath, the difference is the Orchestrator. The amount of integration it has is actually what makes it different from all other vendors.""When talking about deployment, you have a very robust infrastructure to manage your automations, the robots, and how they can be configured, deployed, executed, monitored, and maintained. When it comes to process discovery, it has excellent front-end tools and capabilities vis-à-vis Task Capture and Automation Hub.""UiPath has improved the ease of building automations. We were using SeleniumBase testing which is a legacy application and required a lot of manual work to maintain it.""Storing data partially using internal data tables for internal calculations, without relying on a full database, is most beneficial for our workflows.""The robots work where you can scale additional servers. They just need a place to work and a process to perform, then you can add-on. Ten bots can easily turn into a hundred bots, then those can turn into a thousand bots. From a scalability aspect, it's great.""In terms of the ease of building automation, from what I've seen, I'm very impressed. We're using a partner. We built the COE and everything that they're developing right now. Obviously, we're just starting down this path. This means we're going to go work with a partner while we're developing our own guys. We can get to market quicker.""The Excel activities are valuable. We can do browser automation through other sites or tools, but for Excel, using tools or options like Selenium or JavaScript is quite complicated because we have to import the file from the JSQL or other things, whereas, in UiPath, we get direct activities. We can directly perform the operations by using the activities. We can directly apply logic to it, and that is how UiPath makes Excel automation easy. This is why I like it.""The customer support is supportive and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help and support me."

Cons
"The OCR has issues recognizing handwritten data.""Something that could be improved is that this solution can't run when the computer is locked, which meant we had to implement it in our own on-prem server as it never auto-locks."

More NTT-AT WinActor Cons →

"I would like UiPath to have an offline mode where we can continue to work when there are maintenance issues.""I would like more flexibility during recording and debugging because currently, when UiPath is in debug mode, we cannot make any changes.""I would like it to better handle updates from other systems, whether it's SAP or a website. That's the thing that we struggle with. Anytime a system changes, we have to go in and modify the code.""UiPath is good in a lot of areas, but as an end user, I feel one thing that can be improved is UiPath Studio. It is an application that we can download to our system and then start building the use cases that we want. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of time to launch, and when we are building a complex application involving a lot of sequential flows, it tends to lag a bit.""I would like UiPath to add built-in ticketing to Orchestrator so you can raise a ticket directly to the vendor inside the solution and send the error information. We have to build our own error-handling process, which is an enormous task.""We struggle with handwriting recognition. If we had something, maybe in Document Understanding, that would work well with handwriting recognition, it would help us out a lot. Right now, we use an outside vendor for that.""Sometimes, in my experience, Picture In Picture is a bit buggy. It takes over your control, then the controls get mixed. That is one of few issues that I have found.""Governing components in the solution, such as the Orchestrator, and configuring the robots should be easier. The vendor should also come up with more offerings or features involving AI."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "We pay yearly for the agent who runs the processes, plus an additional fee for maintenance costs."
  • More NTT-AT WinActor Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It costs much less and it does much more than the competitors' solutions."
  • "The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product."
  • "If you want to do a demo trial, it is a 30 days free."
  • "The community edition is completely free. Then, people say, "There is nothing to lose, let me try it.""
  • "There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks."
  • "Traditionally, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are the biggest things competing against UiPath. Those are usually what most of the clients lean towards, if they see a cheaper licensing option. Clients choose UiPath because it's easier to deploy and learn within their teams."
  • "We saw ROI in 15 days."
  • "They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home."
