Senior Program Manager Software at a manufacturing company with 10,001+ employees
I can say that we enjoy Jama Connect. I introduced it to my company, and we, of course, use it. It is not perfect, but nothing is.
But, of course, it has the majority of the features available. It is definitely something that works for the medical industry in which I work, so it is a good fit.
You can get full traceability with any other system. It also includes a test module, and you build the traceability matrix incrementally throughout the development process. And it has a great review module, which makes the design reviews smooth, working with how you can post individual requirements, rather than completing a full document and then sending it out. From that standpoint, it is more agile. There are many positive aspects, and it is well-structured and includes templates.

Jama Connect is a good tool for the entire software development cycle.
View full review »I like Jama Connect because it's easy to use and understand. The widgets are great, and linking is straightforward. The solution is not complex compared to its competitors.
You don't need any special training to use Jama Connect. It provides enough guidance for anyone to understand, is detailed, and has a better interface than others.
The tool integrates with others, such as Amazon and Excel, making importing and exporting data effortless. We can also have PDF tools.

Sr. Manager - Systems Engineering - Operations at a tech services company with 51-200 employees
It is good at requirements management and test management.
For day-to-day users, it is very user-friendly.
View full review »Jama helps companies deal with regulatory requirements by providing suitable tools for managing those demands. A key feature for us is the templates and predefined settings as well as relationship management. You can create relationships between requirements and test cases, as well as having an inbuilt test management module, which is really useful.

To have a single source for all the requirements and all the change requests our company gets is the most valuable feature. It has also helped us to keep track of reviews.
View full review »I am most familiar with the Test and Requirements Management functionality, especially Test. I think the data model has stood up well. The UI is easy to train a new tester on, and the dashboard has be a good tool for others wanted "real time" status of the progress in testing. The traceability tracking is very good, though we mostly export and work in Excel for Analysis.
Support has been excellent - an advantage of working with a somewhat smaller vendor interested in making users successful.
View full review »Compared to other requirements, management tools, etc., this navigates well. That's the most valuable feature. The user interface with the navigation capabilities and also the relationships and reporting tools are all good.
