It was easy to deploy and configure in the cloud and to integrate with other Microsoft tools, but we've yet to see whether it will scale for millions of records.

We're using multiple solutions, and haven't actually switched it yet.
How was the initial setup?
We used Azure Cloud service to set it up, and it was very easy to setup and configure. Cloud setup is the way to go.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented it in-house.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We just looked at Gartner’s top leaders in this area.
What other advice do I have?
Start small and scale incrementally. Cloud would be the ideal deployment option.

What version are you on, please provide more details. Don't plan on millions of records unless on 2016 version - read my review. It starts to choke once you get anywhere near 100K records in an entity let alone millions. Its fine for small reference data - I used it extensively but just realize it does not scale well. The 2016 version is supposed to be much faster.
