Veeam ONE Stability

SL
IT at Bouygues Construction

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a six out of ten.

It is difficult to deploy Veeam ONE. I think Veeam ONE is a good product to supervise and monitor infrastructure and for backup purposes.

Veeam ONE is more stable than the operating system it lives on. So it lives in Windows and that's more of a concern than the actual application itself. Veeam is very, very good. It's that underlying OS. If I could put that in Linux, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I would rate the stability an eight out of ten. It needs some improvement, especially on database connectivity, when the database grows. So, these issues are there for some of our customers.

I would rate the overall stability of Veeam as a seven. While it is reliable for general backups and snapshots, it faces challenges with scale-out and Oracle backups. The Azure scale-out feature also presents stability issues, with most of our tickets revolving around that area.

There have been no stability issues so far.

A lot of improvements are made with each new release, as long as you follow the proper and guided upgrade steps.

You also have to take into account the initial best practice deployment with optimal configurations that meet our clients' virtual and backup estates.
