Broadcom Clarity Pricing
The licensing costs are a little bit high, and unfortunately, it has been a while since I've had that paperwork in front of me. I don't remember how much it was, but it seemed like it was fairly high.
It is probably comparable to some of the other solutions because I do know that, for example, on a lot of the AWS stuff, they found that the costs wound up being higher than having some on-prem solution. Comparatively, Clarity is within the price range of other solutions.
View full review »Licensing for Broadcom Clarity PPM is a bit complicated. I'm not aware of the exact costs because the tool was for everybody's use. There are different license structures for different organizations and Broadcom doesn't discuss licensing right away. You have to reach out to Broadcom and the team will customize licensing for each client.

I would rate the pricing around three or four out of ten because it is decently priced. The solution is price-sensitive depending on the region, and customer-to-customer pricing, so it is very flexible.
The license is a fixed cost and is renewed yearly. Service costs are minimal since they depend on support or developmental cost, and are a component of the licensing cost.
The price point of Broadcom Clarity PPM is less than Planisware. If a customer comes to me, and the cost is the main parameter for the selection of a tool, then I'll recommend Broadcom because cost-wise, they are less than other solutions.
If you have to train a consultant, certification costs around 3000 euros and Broadcom Clarity is only $250. There is a substantial difference.

In recent times, I have been involved in the purchase of the license for this solution. However, the process of procurement changed and the option to buy individual licenses was no more available. The new subscription model was introduced, as a followed-up trend in the industry. The subscription costs put us in shock because it was double what we paid in the past as the yearly maintenance. We negotiated and the price was dropped. But this incident made me observe a lack of transparency from Broadcom in terms of licensing expenses. This isn't unique to Broadcom but seems to be a broader industry issue.

I did not directly deal with technical support.

The subscription is not that expensive. However, the implementation and the services related to it might be a little bit expensive because it's a very unique field. We don't find a lot of people working in this field.
Licensing can be quite expensive, depending on the size of the organization. Even though there are many types of licenses (full, restricted and limited to name a few), the full licenses are the only way to utilize the system as intended and the cost per user is very high.
View full review »There are different licensing models with Broadcom Clarity PPM. With the software as a service model, you pay as you go, and if you are on-premises, you can buy a perpetual license and an annual fee for maintenance.
I rate the price of Broadcom Clarity PPM a three out of five.

It is not the cheapest option, but definitely worth the price (if properly designed and implemented).

This is an enterprise PPM solution, so it will have functional aspects that extend into many corners of the enterprise.
The focus should be on the functionality that is needed, and not on small differences in cost. There will rarely be a significant cost difference between systems that are competing at this level.
View full review »In terms of pricing and licensing, this product is much cheaper compared to SAP PS, which is a similar product. Others might be cheaper, but they might not be able to fulfill all of your requirements.
View full review »Buying in large quantities is more cost effective than a one-to-one basis. Periodically, we try to figure out how much we need to avoid buying one-to-one.
View full review »For all the functionalities of the solution, the price is in the market range, since it is a product which offers governance issues and supports the digital transformation, which is where we will go in the next year.
View full review »This project management software is a little bit costly compared to others, but it is mature. Customers should understand this product is geared towards project management, not financial management.
View full review »It's important to understand your organization's requirement clearly, then understanding how the vendor is categorizing its licensing (e.g., different license types and their respective pricing).
Better understanding of requirements and how it will be implemented (with number of licenses for a given budget) would help.
The price is high, but the solution is very comprehensive. The price is acceptable only if the solution is core for the organization.

I don't know of what the actual costs of the solution were.
I recommend PPM. I'd advise against changing functionality on the box, however.

In this case, the user can try most of the modules. But for the administrator demo, I saw that the user only has accessibility rom the Admin menu
