The challenge often comes down to pricing for SMB customers or those below enterprise level. It's tough for them to invest in Cisco Security products, not because the products lack quality—on the contrary, they recognize the products' are good.

As consultants, we do convince customers of the product's value. However, it's crucial to consider the customer's budget. The cost is a significant factor for them. So, the pricing structure should be improved. It is expensive. 

You can get a better price if you commit to a longer-term license. Three years, five years, or even seven or ten years will be cheaper than a three-month or one-year term. So, a longer term, like three or five years, is definitely recommended for cost savings.

The solution's costs are quite high. It's a turn-off in terms of actually using it. It's more of an enterprise-level solution. It's not ideal for smaller organizations as the cost to run it would be out of their budgeting capabilities.

The cost of the license, to the best of my knowledge, is approximately two thousand dollars.

Cisco comes with a premium reputation, and while it's certainly not the cheapest option. Compared to other products like Huawei, Netgear, or even Fortinet, which are cheaper than Cisco.

The cost may be around $5,000 to $10,000 a year. If you want support you have to pay at least this price. 

The pricing for IOS Security is okay. It is competitive. It costs more when you have got the need to pay for more features. You have to buy more boxes and tie them together to upgrade to the next level.  

Our licensing costs for the solution are on an annual basis. It should be every five years.

With Cisco, we have a variety of licenses. They have smart licenses that can be provided for one year, two years, three years, five years, and seven years. Alternatively, they have perpetual licenses available. I am working with a perpetual license, but not a smart license.

The pricing for Cisco IOS Security is reasonable compared to other Cisco products.

Cisco IOS Security is not very expensive, and pricing depends on where you live. It's affordable for both individuals and institutions.

Cisco IOS Security is for medium and large enterprises. When we talk about the price as well, it's more suitable for medium and large enterprises, but recently they included a few good SMB options. They have introduced a cheaper version of it in the last year with SMB option, which can be looked into for small enterprises, but it's more suited towards the large enterprises and medium enterprises.

Price is certainly something that the IOS technology has fallen behind the competition on.

The price of the solution should be cheaper, and the license is purchase annually.

I don't know the exact licensing costs. It's not something I deal with directly, and therefore I don't have any access to the information in regards to pricing and payments.

Cisco IOS Security price could be reduced, it is more expensive than many of the other solutions, such as Sophos and Fortinet FortiGate.

Palo Alto networks are more expensive than this solution and this is why you will see more products like this one in Mexico.

I have been working with the next-generation firewalls by Palo Alto and the license tends to be better. For example, Palo Alto Wildfire, the licensing is more dynamic than Cisco products.

The licensing is on a subscription basis, and it is fairly costly. I would prefer a one-time payment.

Cisco is not a cost-effective brand, however, in the end, you get what you pay for. Regarding licensing, some customers will not use automation/orchestration environments and do not like to pay a subscription for something they will never use.

The pricing is very expensive. Normally I do a yearly contract; I don't know the exact pricing, but it's around $75,000 USD per year. That's the standard licensing.
