The solution very effectively provides malware protection and signature-based anomaly detection. We don't need to use any separate tools. 

The end delay layer was recently improved so it is much faster for service functions, training, and workflows. 

Recent improvements to the OS and firewalling are good. 

NGIPS lets you map web requests to a specific user to determine who is downloading files and what they are accessing. You can use it to identify users downloading malware or track time wasters using Facebook or something like that. It gives you visibility into what your users are doing on the Internet. 

The cost is the most valuable feature.

Ir's signature-based. We are also using the anomaly baseline formation, where it links the network, then anything that goes away from the norm is also flagged. Those are the two most valuable features. 

The top features of Cisco NGIPS, which have been working very well, include stateful inspection and the access list-based security configuration. But from my perspective, the best part of Cisco NGIPS is the licensing process, which is very easy and straightforward. It's essentially copy-paste licensing.

The other aspect that I like is the technical support, who are highly capable. They were very good to us during the times that we used them and they tend to reply immediately to queries, even though you might not get the right engineer to help you right away. Tickets are usually assigned to junior staff at first but they do have escalation procedures, so if the support member can't solve the issue then they will immediately escalate it to higher management.

The most valuable features of Cisco NGIPS are protection and reporting.

The most valuable features are the intrusion detection ones. We channel the intrusion engine to create a policy of prevention. We only use this solution for intrusion prevention, not as a firewall.

I like the way the tool pushes the packets from the node level. 

The most valuable feature for our cloud-based deployment is the autoscaling.

For our on-premises deployment, clustering is the most valuable.

I think their fingerprints are good in terms of how they whitelist and blacklist. This is because of Talos, which is really awesome. We use that a lot.

The anomaly detection capabilities are awesome.

It's a good solution.

The solution is not that bad. Next-generation firewalls work from my experience, they work. 

The URL filtering feature and the new locations feature are both valuable additions to the solution.

The malware detection, threat defense, sandboxing, VPN, and mail security have all been valuable features of Cisco NGIPS.

I have found the filter and the antivirus to be most valuable.

The FTD has a GUI interface, which is very easy to work around with all the configurations. It is a client-based software based on Java. Now we have the GUI web interface, and it's very interactive and easy to navigate.

We like the Cisco product, the concept, and the tech intelligence. We are much more comfortable with Cisco products. It's a reputable organization, and we trust the products.

Among all the different solutions I have worked with, such as Palo Alto many other firewalls. Cisco has the support, documentation, and design. The documentation is widely available and it can help you a lot with implementation. It makes the implementation much easier.

The thing about this solution that I like the most is that it's intuitive. The other features I like are the good support chain and ease of use.

The IPS functionality is useful if you have offices all over the place. It's nice to have centralized management instead of going to a separate ASA or FirePOWER device. 

Signature rules from the Snort community around the world.

The most valuable feature of Cisco NGIPS is the centralized user interface. You have the ability to quickly push out configurations across your environment using the Cisco UI. It's a powerful capability of that solution.

I use the product mainly for follow-up. I would say the most important is the integration with our directory services, the user directory services. We can block or allow traffic based on the specific users or specific user groups.

There are other features such as the connection with the intelligence systems such as Talos on Cisco. You can do zero-day prevention and detection. It's quite useful.

The solution is stable and the performance is good. 

My understanding is that the initial setup is simple. 

Its ease of use and its ability to block and allow ports in and out of our organization are the most valuable features.

It works very well. It gives us all the information that we need.

The solution updates at regular intervals. It has the most recent definition of the attacks, including zero-day attacks.

We use the Security Intelligence feature. We also use the Cisco AMP for Networks, which is used with the ITL certificate. You can use third-party integrations with the Firepower, about security. You can use the STIX format. With the STIX, you can add emergency threats to rules. This includes malware detection which has a third-party Security Intelligence platform. Included are reporting for the last seven days, V shell, and phishing tank. Cybercrime tracker is to check if any company or domain has a bad reputation on the internet. And it can give that information to the Firepower. You can use Security Intelligence to protect the network. It has preprocessors about security. They have a preprocessor for the SCADA. Cisco has evolved a lot in that area over the last few years.

In the previous version, some features were not enabled. For example, you could not access the VPN. So that was one of the downsides of the product. In this latest version, after enabling these features in the previous version and using them, it's been good. Inspection, application, and inspection in the cloud, the detail in the cloud for an indication of compromise and the malicious activity re-hashing are all valuable features. It's more of the cloud and the malicious activities aspects that define this application.

The most valuable feature is that it is able to detect any form of infiltration. It does this in an automated fashion so that you don't have to do anything to it. Once it is properly configured, it will act on its own.

The visibility that it gives you is very good. You're able to know what has happened within your network.

The way it pushes policy rules is very good. It makes sure that your information is reliable, and that you have the right visibility and the right intelligence.

I believe the IPS is a valuable function, because they update the signatures all the time and it's very granular. This is a good, stable solution and it's always up to date with all the security features.

The most valuable feature of this solution is its modularity, so whenever you need to upgrade or add another service, you don't need to buy another box. You can activate these services on the same box, which saves a lot in terms of cost because you don't need additional hardware. Moreover, it makes manageability easier because you don't have to use several different devices.

Cisco operates on an open operating system platform so it gives you the flexibility to add other things. Cisco itself is using different manufacturers, or OEM vendors to integrate with their product. For example, Radware is providing a DDoS solution for the NGIPS box.

The most valuable feature of Cisco NGIPS is its protection.

Cisco NGIPS is working well overall with our current needs.

We have found the IPS detection to be a very valuable feature of this solution. It is easy to use to stop policy violations.

I like how NGIPS has everything in one console.  

I've found the performance and stability to be the most valuable features of Cisco NGIPS. It is scalable as well.

This product can be integrated with other solutions from the Cisco portfolio including Cisco ISE and SecureX. The integration with the Cisco portfolio is very helpful. Cisco ISE will give full control in any network and it can be used to isolate any infected or misbehaving users automatically.

This is a great firewall.

From a cybersecurity past perspective, it has aligned the features in accordance with our strategic needs. 

NGIPS' best feature is the separate IPSec tunnels, which makes the user's data more secure if they want to access it privately.

The most valuable feature would be the IPS is very important in Cisco Firepower because I can configure deep configuration in IPS and tuning.

The traffic filter of this solution is very valuable to us, and to our clients.

We are looking for cybersecurity threats, like Pinterest and this solution has a good IPS feature as well as it's VirtualBox which helps us to time and for the QD, our daily routine tasks or issues. The solution provides a clear picture of what a user is doing at a specified time.

The features that I find most valuable are the DDoS protection, IPS/IDS, and Firepower for web application filtering. These three things are pretty good and each is valuable as per the different needs of my business operations.

In the virtual deployment, you have a couple of choices depending on your needs and how much bandwidth you have that needs to be inspected. It is quite flexible because it can be deployed on the cloud as well. All the kinks which were in the previous versions were fixed.

The most valuable feature is the IPS engine. It has been in the security branch for decades and is now integrated into the Cisco portfolio. The difference is that it has been scaled a thousandfold. It provides a base language for intruder inspection for all of the security engineers. Now, they have the same language everywhere in the corporate and the open-source firewalls and IPS.

The most valuable feature is its IPS ability. You are able to balance security and connectivity. 

The tracking intelligence feature is very good. This solution provides us with the opportunity to detect threats in real-time. 

I've found the web filter and JPS the most valuable features.
