This solution has helped us in terms of discovering business processes.
The stability of the ARIS BPM platform is quite good. The nice thing about it is the central database, where we can use all of our data. We can even manage users.
The most valuable features are business process modeling and reporting.
It has the ability to scale up, as well as integrate with other systems within the organization to get real-time information from dashboards and reports.
You can relate different aspects of an organization to each other, and you can clearly define the rates seen in the application.

The initial setup was straightforward. With configuration, customizing or prepping the data and deployment, it took about one year to set up. We only needed two people to deploy and maintain the solution: one business architect and someone who specializes in customization and operations.
The most valuable feature for this solution is the automatic updating and propagation of changes across the system.
You do not need to be a professional of enterprise modeling to contribute to the enrichment and improvement of the enterprise repository.
It generates friendly websites and presents specific views of the enterprise (business, functional, applicative, technological, and infrastructure).
MEGA offers a more integrated GRC platform to facilitate enhanced coordination between the functions of Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit on a single platform solution - HOPEX.
The dashboard on the homepage makes for an enhanced view at a glance of the various work functions applicable to the user.
Integration with third-party tools should be improved (e.g. based on APIs).
With ARIS BPM, the script creation is quite cumbersome. With version ten, we needed our developers to do scripting.
I would like to see the reporting aspects improved.
Making it more customizable and easy to learn would be a benefit.
One of the biggest challenges is to realistically enable the defined structures of the processes that you have in ARIS documented, and then actually implement them in the business.
Displaying role allocation matrix models in ARIS Connect needs improvement.
Areas for improvement include sales, prospecting, shopping, customer service, after-sales (claims and advice for the client), and all processes pertaining to customer loyalty.
Training is one of the important aspects for process awareness. As soon as a process is rolled out, process training is required. If ARIS could generate output in PowerPoint, it would be great for business users.
They do tend to push people to their professional services, instead of helping the customers with their problems. I understand this is their business. At the same time, however, they need to work on fact sheets or offer some program to help the customers who want to implement it themselves and to make it run properly in their environment.
We would like to see integration with other products, such as being able to use our workflow with SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
Needs a friendlier import/export to other modeling tools.
Standardization is lacking. The Operational Risk Function will be more effective if it at a default level follows established Basel standards for Loss categorization, Risk Assessments, Risk Event categorization, etc.
Pricing and Cost Advice
In terms of pricing, it would be nice if it were more affordable.
You will never get a fixed price for this product because they will go in and ask you what kind of environment would you like to set up? How many people will you work with? How big is your organization? Today, they have a fixed price to say, "Okay, just to start the business area, buy two licenses for modeling and eight people that can look into the product." They have this kind of fixed price. It's 50,000 Danish Krone. If you divided that by about six, then you get the pricing in dollars. Still, when you are going out, negotiate and find the right price. You will never get a fixed price: "It costs this and, if you take ten of these, seven of these and eight of these, and then it costs this." No, you negotiate every time.
From my point of view, no, it is not cheap, but it is not too expensive because you get this big organization behind it, technical support, and all those things. It's not so expensive to use. It's a Rolls Royce in this field, I know that. Even for small organizations, they can get so much effect from using this tool, in a very fast way, so the money will be back in the customer's pocket very fast.
If you can afford it, it's the best so far.

Negotiate. Price is high so make sure you’re getting the best deal.
It is well worth the investment in the enterprise.
If you want to use additional features, such as the Risk Management capability, then it is a little too expensive.
