Find out in this report how the two Help Desk Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We have decreased training and talk time, and all those good stats, just by reusing information, not reinventing it, every time we get a call."
"The new xFlow interface that was introduced for Level 1 analysts really helps the them to achieve the best and fastest result for their users/customers."
"The UI is very user-friendly."
"Modules of integrated ITIL managers."
"The tool itself is valuable as a result of all its features combined. Therefore, I have found that there is no feature more valuable than another."
"Being able to specify event rules and SLAs that can help to automate some of the processes that people are doing manually is valuable."
"We centralized our knowledge from various sources into one source of truth that is continually updated."
"It is easy to tell what needs fixing and the priority of things."
"The most valuable feature of ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is ticket management."
"The product scales up effortlessly and you can easily add users."
"There are a lot of great templates that you can take advantage of."
"This solution has helped a lot by freeing up valuable time allowing the IT personnel to work on other more critical areas, key projects, and perform their fundamental job requirements on time without interruption."
"The auto-routing feature saves a lot of effort, where we used to spend a lot of time manually assigning things."
"The most valuable feature of ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is change management."
"I have been impressed by how easy it is to operate and how easy the structure is to manage service tickets. If they request an incident problem train, it's a very strong model. Another strong feature in the tool is the CMDB."
"The most valuable features are project management, change management, and the flow according to the mail chain."
"I would also like to see a simpler reporting tool. They went from one fairly robust, very complex, reporting tool - it was great - and then they went to another one that was also fairly complex and robust. That's a great tool for people who are report writers, but for the average person who just wants to get a quick little report, it's like handing somebody a chainsaw because they have to break some toothpicks in half."
"If I had to choose, it would be more around the user interface than the mobile experience."
"The CA products integrate well together but I would like to see better integration with third-party solutions."
"Right now, you have to create the Scoreboards individually for roles or users. If they could separate that functionality, and create the scoreboards separately, and then just link scoreboards to roles and users - that way you could reuse the same ones - that would be a huge benefit. I know, because they're a nightmare to manage at times."
"We went from 12.1 to 14, so there was a lot involved in it. The issues we had were migration issues, getting our information from one place to the next and making sure everything was as everyone needed."
"I am not able to see tickets on a bigger scale. I can't see the overall bigger picture."
"Just little technical tweaks here and there. Like more options. For example "Organization." We wanted that to be available inside the change order, as well as the ticket and the request. And that's not available."
"The interface for the users is a bit old-fashioned and not user-friendly."
"I would like to see a clearer distinction between ManageEngine Cloud, ServiceDesk Plus, and ManageEngine Enterprise. That way, choosing the best one is better informed. Initially, I struggled to understand the difference, but I figured it out later."
"I would like to improve the task management module and analytics."
"We should be able to monitor the performance of assets, not only documents. For example, printers. We should be able to monitor ink levels and get notifications when the ink is low. In another operation manager I use, they send me a notification when the device is off, or has something to perform."
"It is sometimes a bit slow. If it can have a quicker response time, it would be good for users, service desk engineers, and technicians. For service requests, they don't have an SLA for each priority. For a service request, the SLA of response or resolution is only one irrespective of the priority. SLA should be different for each priority. For a ticket, there is no response SLA for the service request. For resolution SLA, that is, P1, P2, P3, or whatever you define, you still have the same SLA. It should be different."
"We have experienced issues with tables, sheets and columns not displaying properly. This is temporarily fixed with updates but then reoccurs. The way tickets are displayed is messy."
"They could improve the screens."
"Currently, I cannot configure more than one point of contact. I have the MSP version, and we have around 80 or 90 customers. I don't see the features where I can configure multiple contact points for a customer so that they're notified when we are having an outreach or when we want to send them a planned maintenance notification. Other things that are lacking are mapping SLAs with vendors and mapping back on the tickets."
"For ITIL functions, it should be more complex, including financial functions. We are expecting it to be easier for customization within workflows and templates."
