Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"We use Kryon Studio to develop new wizards and we use the features to capture elements from the screen and automate processes... The screen capture allows us to interface with systems which don't have an API, or where the API is very expensive, and it allows us to do on-screen integration.""Kryon will allow you to automate processes fast and easy and you do not need to be a developer to automate processes.""We have been using Kryon Process Discovery for about a year now. With our initial tests and monitoring just a couple people, we were able to identify 79 possible use cases within a one-month period.""The bot is typically about twice as fast as a person and more accurate, as long as the data going in is good. That is the biggest advantage.""Attended automation has diverted 34 percent of training calls to our tech support centers."

"It is a great solution for simple automation activities or simple automation of simple tasks. It is also integrated with Office 365. Integration is an absolute breeze with any RPA software.""So far, the tech support has provided me with good enough support and knowledge.""Its integration with the Office 365 ecosystem is most valuable. We use a lot of ready-to-use templates.""It is basically free for me because it comes with my Office 365 subscription. The main feature is that there is abundant learning material on platforms like YouTube. You can find information about whatever you want to be done in Spanish or English without a problem. It is very easy to learn. Users can start using it on their own without any former training, which is something I like about this solution.""The solution is easy to understand and to develop connectors.""It is Microsoft. So, you get the integration capability.""Very reasonably priced.""The initial setup is pretty straightforward."

Cons
"I have seen some very minor occurrences where Kryon's interactions with Microsoft Office might cause the robot to hang. However, it is about one to two percent of the time where we are seeing this happen. It is such a small percentage that it's not even something that we are overly worried about. This would be where they might have some stability issues, but it could be the Microsoft Office API or how they are interacting together.""We have found some difficulties regarding the integration with legacy systems where the screen has elements in the Hebrew language. The connection to Hebrew, right-to-left systems, is more challenging.""It could be more reliable in spying HTML.""With the customer support, there have been some times where we have had to go through explaining the issue a couple times because it has gone through a couple of people's hands. There have been a couple of scenarios where we have had to re-explain the issue and bring somebody new up to speed on what is going on or what the problem is.""The only unstable part is Studio where you build this stuff. In our version, the 5.25. It has a memory leak. If you leave it open for too long, eventually it just freezes. Saving your work, closing, and opening it just once a day is all it takes. However, this is a bug that I have noticed about the stability of the actual tool."

"While Microsoft has a way of integrating well with itself and its own internal tools, it could do more to include external options and add them to the mix.""How long it takes to deploy will depend on how confident you are with your development. The development itself is not easy.""Not suitable for connecting other applications like browsers and third party applications.""The thing which needs the most improvement is really the documentation. It should have better details of the processes.""When comparing with Automation Anywhere, there are a couple of things that this product doesn't have. One of the major things is the key management system. It would be great if they improve this. Its documentation can also be improved.""We expect Microsoft Power Automate to work like any other RPA software, but at present, it is fairly lax, especially in the RPA space. We have a very limited set of use cases today for Microsoft Power Automate. Microsoft should make it a full-featured RPA product like other solutions that we use, such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and UiPath. This is predominantly the area that they need to improve on. Microsoft Power Automate is quite complex to use as well, especially if you want to do advanced workflows or advanced automation. The regular simple workflows are quite easy and straightforward, but the moment you want to do something complex, it is almost impossible for one of our employees to work on it.""When compared to other workflow automation tools out there, it's just not as mature.""It would be great if you could integrate outside of Microsoft environments."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"We are probably saving $6000 to $8000 a month in labor costs. It's not a ton, but we're right around $60,000 to $80,000 a year with our current deployment.""They license per robot and we have 25 robots. You get so many robot licenses and can allocate those licenses to either attended, unintended, or Process Discovery bots. If you have 25 licenses, for example, you could have 20 automation bots and five process discovery. This allocation is flexible. There are also maintenance costs."

"Power Automate is a much less expensive product than the competition.""It's more fragmented licensing, where every little thing that you add, you get an extra license cost.""I don't deal with the financial side. I know that we pay for a per-user license. It is probably less than $20 a user, but I am not sure about the exact figures.""The license cost could be better.""The price is right. If you have Office 365 It's included.""You pay for use and if you want a premium connector or adapter, but a lot of things are available for free.""Its licensing cost is comparatively less as compared to Automation Anywhere. We have bought a two-year license agreement.""It costs us nothing because we use it on the built-in cost that is a part of our existing license for 365. To use it more extensively, there are different pricing models. Its licensing is complex. It is complex to evaluate the cost in advance. As a result, people don't use it because they don't know what overall cost they are going to incur. There are too many criteria to figure out how much it is going to cost you to use the product to its full extent. Its licensing model should be improved, and the pricing should be more visible and transparent."
