When comparing ESET Endpoint Antivirus to other antivirus programs, such as Trend Micro or Kaspersky, it is the best. The other two were too heavy on the system resources, it consumes a lot of hardware. Additionally, they could not detect auto-run viruses.

In the past year I have evaluated Norton, but as I told my technical support consultant, I don't have enough information to make a change. I'm glad to have what I have, even though I know it could be better.

I think that from the user perspective, it is very similar to Kaspersky. They don't have major differences. Maybe ESET has the Dynamic Scanner option which is something that Kaspersky does not have. That might be a plus towards the Zero-day issues that can come over, but so far, we did not have any use for it. We hope not to have any needs, even in the future.

Cisco has been marketing its Umbrella solution, and it is a very good product, but it is also very expensive. It is not economical, whereas ESET falls perfectly right across the board in terms of price and functionality.

I know that Cisco also has good endpoint products and it's something we would evaluate and consider. We'd like to see if it can be implemented in our company.

We are always looking at new product technology innovation.

I have evaluated Sophos' solutions.

There is some antivirus software, such as McAfee when it is very difficult to install the software on some devices. When we patch or make some reports, it does not show them in the report. It's not communicating with the licensed software or a similar issue.

Azure has an easier setup than ESET Endpoint Security. I am biased towards the former.

Since we have four apps through our use of SSTM, STVM, I only make use of the Microsoft Products. This makes the integration of another Microsoft product much easier.

Founder/President at Silicon de Costa Rica S.A,

One of our customers who was scheduled to renew 120 licenses in March, is evaluating other solutions because they must have one that is fully in the cloud. ESET is AWS implementation, it is not a true cloud solution.

We have some other customers that are evaluating other solutions such as Broadcom, Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, and Microsoft. Additionally, some of our larger business customers with more users are evaluating F-Secure.

If I was to compare ESET and Symantec, one of the enormous differences is Symantec provides a cloud version.

We looked into using Trend Micro but the service was terrible.

We have also worked with Symantec when it has been installed with certain clients. This is also a good solution but does consume additional resources in the background.

Not really. By the time we started cooperation with ESET, their competitors didn’t even have local support in Slovakia.

We did not look at other solutions prior to choosing this product. We had some machines that were well protected and some that weren't. Some came with some basic antiviruses, some didn't have anything or some were expired. Overall, we probably weren't really using anything, at least on a standard basis.
