I rate Hive's project management capabilities a ten out of ten. Hive Planisware Orchestra is a product I rate an eight out of ten.

I have worked previously on Hive and Microsoft Visio and, to some extent, on Bizagi.

Before using iGrafx, I was using ARIS while working with a previous company.

Yes, we started with Process Charter (Sciforma , ex Scitor); iGrafx supported IDEF0, and that is what we needed.

iGrafx also has everything else, including BPMN.

We didn’t use any other solution before. After we were presented with iGrafx, we immediately decided to use it. I know that other software does only part of what iGrafx does. I have never found other tool as complete as this one.

I have used Visio a little bit. In iGrafx, the simulation part is better, and the connectivity with Minitab is better.

I was formerly in a global consulting company and they were using a tool called IDEF Designer. However, that was too expensive to deploy to 3000 process improvement consultants.

Before I described processes with static instruments such as PowerPoint.

I'm still looking for a solution, however, I haven't found any vendor in Mexico. I'm from Mexico City. I was looking for a reseller in Mexico to assess my needs and to suggest a plan for our deployment and how to maybe use the solution. However, there is no reseller here, so we are still looking for options.

We previously used Microsoft Visio. Visio is more user-friendly. It's easier to connect symbols but that can also depend on my experience in iGrafx, which is very little. Maybe the functionality is okay but I'm not an experienced user yet. 

ARIS and Visio, the reason to use iGrafx is that it is easy to execute process simulations.
