OutSystems Pricing

The solution is expensive. The platform is not suitable for all of my clients. I work with labor unions and other smaller organizations that would not be able to afford the platform's current pricing model. It would be beneficial if there were a scaled-down version or a tiered pricing option that would allow me to build an app or a web app that is more cost-effective for my clients. Currently, the platform's pricing is too high for many of my clients, who would not be able to afford something in the $50,000 to $100,000 range.

The customers have to pay for licensing and application development. Once they buy the product, they must also engage a technical team to develop applications until their internal team is certified and can develop applications on its own. OutSystems takes care of the maintenance. It is included in the licensing agreement. The solution is expensive. I rate the product’s cost a two or three out of ten. Not everyone can afford OutSystems.
View full review »The solution is not open source. It is a platform that is given free of cost to the developers. When it comes to commercial use, there are restrictions and costs.
I believe they have two pricing options. One is approximately $4000 USD a year and the other is approximately $10,000 USD a year.
Obviously, you need to incur your own infrastructure costs or maybe even your own server. Other costs come in the form of security, maintenance, and the amount of data required to be held in the cloud.

OutSystems is a very expensive solution, and it has to be cheaper. Users have to pay a yearly licensing fee for the solution.
View full review »OutSystems isn't expensive. It's very similar to the cost of Mendix. If customers have a good relationship with OutSystems or Mendix, they can get a better price. The solutions have a similar pricing model, including licenses for single or multiple users.

The cost of the product is very high and would price out smaller organizations.
My client pays for the solution. Therefore, I have no visibility of the cost. I can't speak to the licensing or the pricing, or the terms of use.

OutSystems licenses are not cheap, but they fall within the range of standard pricing. It is not very expensive or overly budget-friendly; it is more in the middle, making it an average-cost option for organizations.
OutSystems is an expensive product. My company has to make monthly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. I am unsure about how much my company spends towards the solution's costs, but its cost runs into thousands of euros. There are some additional costs towards which certain payments are to be made, considering that one needs to pay for the end user who uses the solution.

I would rate the pricing a five out of ten. There are no additional costs with the standard license.

The product is expensive and I would rate its pricing a seven out of ten. You need to pay a yearly subscription to use the product.

However, I am able to see it s very costly as compared to other platforms. That said, we see the benefit of paying so much. They provide a lot of options.

I believe they are very strict with their pricing platforms, or the pricing policies, and it changes. They have changed it from software units to application objects in recent years, and now it's all free, but you pay for the users.
I believe they should have a better scheme for companies like ours, which are small and could benefit from the platform without paying too much.
The fees are approximately €150,000, €170,000 per year, which is excessive for a company of our size.
We don't have any additional costs, but we did have, within this price we had some, I believe we have some agreements regarding accelerator, to be honest, I don't know off the top of my head.

For a single application, it's too expensive, but that's also not what the OutSystems aims for. Personally I don't think that's the smart approach. Their model is really based on platform and not every customer is ready to adopt a platform at the start. So, as a result, they actually limit their own success and results at the moment. But that isn't a huge issue. If you look at the value of the platform, I think the pricing is fair.

It is still very expensive, so small companies can’t generally afford it. We hope that this changes. Still, the time saving on development and delivery is worth the value.

OutSystems is expensive, and they changed the pricing model in the last couple of years. It's changing too much and it's becoming unstable. They are constantly shifting their prices based on users, courses, and other factors.
The solution is too expensive for small companies. Whereas, for large companies, it is worth the investment.

I think the pricing for OutSystems is comparable with similar solutions. I would place it somewhere in the middle. We pay for the bundle and don't pay anything extra in terms of licensing and other fees.
