A consultant company helped us with the deployment. We relied on three consultants to help us. 

I did the installation myself with some customization from the Azure team.

For deployment, one person is needed to understand the landscape and translate it into the 'to be' system, and another person for actual migration. You also need someone from infrastructure. So, around three people on the technical side, or maybe five if you include project managers.

For maintenance, three people are required. One from infrastructure, another from technology, and one for coordination or from an architect's perspective. These people might be working at a maximum of 10% capacity on this project, as their responsibilities could be spread across multiple projects.

We do the deployment in-house, but clients would still need a resource who can do support and monitoring activities. The client would not be able to handle it himself and would need an IT resource to help, but one or two resources would be enough. One or two resources are enough to maintain SAP Analytics Cloud.

The maintenance primarily involves administration tasks. As a developer, I don't handle the administration part; someone dedicated to administration takes care of tasks like managing access and overseeing the platform. Regarding updates and maintenance, SAP does this on a biweekly or quarterly basis, depending on your subscription or preference. So, maintenance involves ensuring the platform is regularly updated by SAP.

A team of consultants helped us with deployment — they were very helpful. As far as deployment is concerned, we followed an agile implementation model.

Deployment time varies depending on the project size and complexity. SAP has features like analytics, planning, predictive capabilities, simulation, and analytical application. All of these features are very good. They're all combined into one platform where everything can interact together.

I used our IT staff, however, they have been working with representatives from the company in order to deploy the product organization-wide.

We carry out the implementation ourselves and there is a great variation in the time it takes. It depends on the customers' requirements. With some of our customers, we were able to deploy in three weeks, but there were others that took up to four months. It depends upon the directives we receive from our customers. Not every customer has the same requirements and each customer is unique and we need to plan accordingly.

We do the maintenance for it because we know the ins and outs of the development. We also do the admin.

Initially, we started to use it ourselves for simple reports and simple uploads from Excel files. It took us less than a day to see a simple visualization of the report. In the next phase, it got more complicated in the sense that we implemented a single sign-on and live connection to the back-office systems. We had some SAP experts who helped us with what should be done.
