Plenty of features, integrates well, and reliable
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable features of this solution are the antivirus, antispam, and integration with cloud services. This is a multifunctional solution."
  • "The initial setup was straightforward. This is a virtual appliance, it takes a short time to deploy the solution. However, it is not difficult if you understand the technology. You must have good knowledge of the email security area to set up the product correctly. There are many features in this solution and a high risk of having mistakes with the configuration."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for gateway security protection for inbound and outbound emails from the organization.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of this solution are the antivirus, antispam, and integration with cloud services. This is a multifunctional solution.

What needs improvement?

The solutions manufacturer tries to upgrade the customer to move from on-premises to the cloud. They plan to replace virtual appliances with hardware appliances. I think that this is not a good idea. A virtual appliance is more flexible in implementation and usage, and they think that it is not a good idea to leave the development as is.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a very powerful and stable solution and is one of the leaders in the market.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support is good.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was straightforward. This is a virtual appliance, it takes a short time to deploy the solution. However, it is not difficult if you understand the technology. You must have good knowledge of the email security area to set up the product correctly. There are many features in this solution and a high risk of having mistakes with the configuration.

What other advice do I have?

Good spam protection and threat blocking with responsive support
Pros and Cons
  • "It does a good job of ensuring users are not compromised via email."
  • "They need to adjust the spam filtering and make it stronger."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for email security. We use it to stop malicious threats, such as phishing emails, spam, et cetera. We help our organization protect its users and email from suspicious IPs. We can block things like suspicious emails and certain IPs. Even if one email is compromised, we can stop anything from spreading.

What is most valuable?

The spam protection has been great.

It helps us from attacks.

We can block certain domains.

It does a good job of ensuring users are not compromised via email.

If anyone is sending company data, we are able to monitor that.

When a Microsoft mailbox is down, we can still get the email content.

The product is stable and reliable.

It can scale well.

What needs improvement?

We have had to deal with some spam. They need to adjust the spam filtering and make it stronger.

It would be ideal if they had even better protection on offer to keep users even safer.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for one year and five months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's a stable solution. It's reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's easy to manage and understand everything.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's a scalable product. It's easy to expand the license at any time.

We have seven customers using the solution at this time.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is very quick. They are helpful and responsive. We're happy about this, as email can be very sensitive and we appreciate they act fast. They have a support number you can call if you run into issues.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of the solution is straightforward. There are two types of configurations: inbound and outbound. We can easily deploy both and manage everything once it is set up.

It might take about 30 minutes to implement the solution, depending on the requirements and if any settings need to be adjusted. The configurations might take about ten minutes.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution has an annual license that users must pay.

What other advice do I have?

I'd recommend the product to others.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. It's a good product.

Pricing is high.
