Veeam ONE has a lot of great features, and it's worth spending time exploring its capabilities. The video diagram feature is especially valuable because it's easy to use and provides significant benefits in addition to Veeam ONE's reporting.

I rate Veeam ONE a seven out of ten.

My company is a service provider. Currently, Veeam ONE is one of the products used within the company.

Sixteen people use Veeam ONE in the company, in particular, system engineers and the system administrator.

One person manages the deployment and maintenance of Veeam ONE.

I would recommend the product to other people looking to implement it for business purposes.

I believe Veeam ONE has improved on the reporting with the tenant portals, but I haven't tested it out to know the features more, and in version 12, ransomware protection has been improved as well with the new immutable backup strategies. That's been in place since version 10, but it's more reliable in versions 11 and 12.

I'm rating Veeam ONE as nine out of ten.

I rate this solution a nine out of ten. My advice to a new user is to go for the community edition. It is more than sufficient compared to Acronis or NAKIVO. Veeam ONE is the best and the most mature solution for hypervisors and physical machines.

Veeam has an Essentials edition and an Enterprise edition for larger environments. People who want to use the solution should choose the on-premise licensing instead of the subscription model because it will be much cheaper. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I would recommend this solution. Veeam is not highly customizable, but if someone's looking for a reliable, stable backup product that you can scale and get great support on, that supports multiple OS's, I would suggest using it. It's pretty good.

I would rate this solution an eight out of 10.

I'm not sure which version of the solution I'm using. It's likely the latest version.

I'd advise potential new users to carefully review the steps and documentation. Users implementing the solution need to have an action plan in place. They need to have a roll-back plan in place as well in case anything goes wrong. Use the custom templates and use them to help manage everything.

Overall, I would rate the solution nine out of ten.

We don't use Veeam ONE for monitoring our virtual environment due to compatibility issues with other software like Pulse SolarWinds. We primarily use it for backup activities. I have tested it and found it promising, but haven't run it extensively due to operational concerns.

I use Veeam ONE for proactive issue resolution by relying on its reports. If something isn't healthy, the report alerts me. Then I investigated further, like when it flagged issues with our proxy server's pricing. I don't check it daily; I schedule reports and review them, giving me a basic idea of what is happening. If I see unexpected issues in the report, I know where to focus my attention. While I don't use it for daily monitoring, it is handy for reporting.

Veeam ONE's reporting capabilities provide a decent overview, but I need more granularity for our data protection strategies. While the reports are okay, they sometimes lack the detail my team and boss require. I'm currently exploring ways to meet our need for more detailed reporting, such as tracking data scaled out to Azure.

Veeam ONE's analytics have helped us with IT decision-making by identifying issues like poor storage and repository node problems. Its focused view on backup infrastructure narrowed our troubleshooting scope. For instance, it highlighted discrepancies in backup deletion, leading us to uncover a bug in our current version.

I would recommend Veeam ONE for small organizations, but for larger ones needing granular reporting, it might fall short. Veeam is continually improving its features and aiming to compete at an enterprise level, but it is still evolving. Overall, I would rate Veeam ONE as an eight out of ten.

I recommend that potential new users familiarize themselves with what they want to monitor and the information they need about their infrastructure. Veeam ONE is highly compatible with VMware, but not with other solutions such as Nutanix or other hypervisors, so it may be more challenging to integrate the solution with hypervisors other than VMware. Nevertheless, Veeam ONE can still provide the necessary information and benefits for organizations.

We're a customer and an end-user of the solution.

We have the Veeam plugin from Dell and Veeam ONE. Veeam ONE is in the availability suite we have ordered and we changed our hardware from Dell and for the last five years, we have the open-managed integration.

We're currently on version 11 and we updated the solution in February.

For those considering the solution, I would advise that they deactivate the alarm at first and then run it in a warning mode so that you can learn within the environment. Veeam has some limits, and these limits are often only baselines. You may have other limits as you have faster hosts or you have other storage, et cetera. If you run in warning mode, you can learn and put in the correct baselines. You can tune it and then you won't get so many alerts. Once you have tuned your environment against the Veeam baseline it's really comfortable to work with.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.
