Some customers are evaluating Gardicore vs NSX.

Gardicore is a great tool for micro-segmentation only. It can fill in many gaps that NSX-T misses with its native micro-seg capabilities.

No other options evaluated. VMware is the leader in network virtualization.

Before our company decided to go with VMware NSX, we evaluated VMware vRA and VMware vRO.

We did look into other options before choosing this solution. 

There are many solutions in the market that offer similar functionality and characteristics. 

Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco offer lower prices because they are considered legacy. Segmentation is very detailed so many customers prefer legacy options for peace of mind. 

The solution is a very, very good product that is perfect for customers who have good technical support. 

We deal directly with Dell EMC and VMware via Dell. This solution was the only thing on our radar. We didn't even look at anything else.

There is no other option available for this kind of product.

If there is already VMware environment then it makes sense to use NSX-V, NSX-T as it can be integrated with other VMware automation products. But if approach it towards opensource then other SDN solutions like flannel, Nginx etc. can be evaluated depending on the use case.

We evaluated other options before choosing VMware NSX.

We compared the solutions from Cisco and Nutanix. We chose VMware NSX due to its price. 

We look at different vendors for our customers. It depends on the compliance and regulations that are in the systems for every single company's requirements. Every company will have specific needs for certain features that other options do or don't have. 

We chose VMware NSX-T because it was the most scalable.

We did not consider anyone else.

If someone is looking for security in a vSphere environment, I don't know of another solution in the market besides NSX.

The most important criteria when selecting a vendor (like VMware), it's important to us that they have the following:

• Their name recognition.
• The support that they provide.
• Their placement in the industry as a leader.
• The things that they're doing with NSX, which are phenomenal.

We're a supporter of VMware, and likewise they're a supporter and a partner with us and what we're doing.

Our customers usually compare NSX to Cisco ACI. The main issue is the underlying network that VMware does not provide visibility to. They chose NSX because they were already VMware customers and they already had vSphere. The second reason they chose NSX is because of the powerful features like microsegmentation, as opposed to relying on other vendors to manage the microsegmentation feature.

We haven't evaluated other virtualization solutions apart from VMware NSX.

We looked at Nuage and Cisco. We decided to go with NSX because they have a good understanding and a strong VMware stack.

An important reason for selecting was VMware because they're the hypervisor we use and we see them to be a very valuable asset in purchasing something like NSX, and because they're the owner of the hypervisor and they have direct access into the hypervisor. That's very valuable for us. We foresee it being a very reliable product into the future.

No, there are no other products in the market that provide network virtualisation as far as I know.

We were already using other VMware products, so this product seemed to be the best product for our purposes. The solution is less complex than other competitive products.

We chose NSX because we were looking for a product with network polarization, so VMware was the first choice for us.

Dell EMC and Symantec.
