We performed a comparison between ConnectWise ScreenConnect and LogMeIn Pro based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Remote Access solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."It's very easy to use. Provides connections that are always on. It was nice to be able to see a list of end-points and see whether or not they were connected so I could troubleshoot any network issues I had."
"Control lets us do remote management of machines without having to be on the VPN. It's super simple and super easy."
"The ConnectWise ScreenConnect tool is very good for remote access."
"Offers more security than TeamViewer, Google Remote Desktop, and Zoom. It's a stable, feature-rich solution that's easy to set up and easy to scale."
"Better than TeamViewer and useful for fixing problems remotely."
"it gives me the ability to remotely connect to machines that I manage without user intervention."
"Setup was very straightforward. All I had to do was write a GPO on my domain controller and it automatically installed the agent that I downloaded from the software. I literally had to do nothing."
"I've noted an ROI while using the solution."
"The most valuable feature is having it in a central location, all the different groups, and being able to ad-hoc or at will log on to whichever computer system I need to get to from a central spot."
"The ability to easily connect back and retrieve data from the computer systems that I have."
"I can login to my office computer, go into all of my software, and work from a remote location."
"Being able to remote access my computer means I can work at night from my house."
"User interface."
"The remote connection is the most valuable, but we also use it for file transfer, that would be probably the second most valuable. The remote connection is a major time saver, it saves us from having to drive to each location."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"I would tell others who are looking into this solution that I feel that it's a secure solution. I never had any issues with its security element. I think that it's very simple to use. I think it is user-friendly, and you can work between computers pretty well on it."
"They could provide a toolbox for the plan I'm on."
"There could be improvement to the remote command line tools."
"There can be some complexities when running patches or when building up all the profiles, making them areas where improvements are required."
"For my company, just installing the software and using it is very easy. But if I need to give one of my customers access to their machines, the process that you have to go through is some 15 to 20 steps. You have to create a group, and then you have to assign a policy. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to set up someone for remote access to their own machine."
"Speed is a major factor in Automate, and the control panel is horribly slow."
"I really didn't care for the onboarding process and it is something that should be improved."
"I was not thrilled with their support. I do not have a lot of time to deal with the attention which is needed to fix issues."
"What we need this product to do is to be able to control Windows Updates. LogMeIn Central allowed us remote access but also allowed to push and install Windows Updates, and third-party updates... When we made the switch to ConnectWise we lost the ability to do patching. That forced us, for our larger clients, to move to WSUS. We had to set up a VM on those larger clients to push Windows Updates and patches into the network."
"Remote Access for external and internal customers."
"I would enhance the product, so if I had two screens in front of me, it could connect to two computers simultaneously with the program. For example, if I had a computer at location A and a computer at location B and I am sitting at location C, it might be nice for me to be able to be connected to all three of those computers and move data between those three during one session. "
"Unfortunately, LogMeIn is a long ways from being perfect. It has a lot of really great features, though they don't always work well."
"With Windows 10 we've had some issues with it crashing, and certain antivirus products cause it to fail. For the most part it's stable, but we do have an occasional crash mainly related to new operating systems. The new Microsoft Server and the new Windows operating systems sometimes have issues with it. But for the most part, in anything under, say, Windows 7, Windows 8, those seem to be pretty stable, and with the Microsoft Server 2012 and below, it's all stable. And I don't necessarily think it's LogMeIn. I think it may be Microsoft, to be honest with you."
"The high pricing of the product is its only shortcoming that needs improvement."
"As far as the usability of it, I'd like to see if printing could be enabled in the basic version or the medium version. Some of the remote printing isn't available unless you go to the premium versions, and that's disappointing."
"The only issue is that they could have a tier between 10 seats and 50."
"It does go down sometimes. You try to login, it tells you the workdesk computer is not available. It does kick you off a lot."
