Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most useful feature of Avalanche is remote control — especially the ability to remotely install packages to many devices all at once. When the client has, for example, 100 devices needing updates, it would take far too long to update each device individually. But with Avalanche, we just connect to all the devices through the PC and send the updates out with one click.""Installing the packages remotely and remote control are the most valuable features. There are around 100 pieces or devices, and the only way to send a package to a device is by connecting to the PC and then manually sending the package. By using Avalanche, we can send a package to all devices with one click. It is very stable and easy to use. Their technical support is also very good. We have implemented this solution for our clients, and they are satisfied with this solution. It does what it is meant to do."

"The most valuable features are visibility and remote access.""The remote control we have helps us a lot.""We can do auto patch updates using SOTI. SOTI has been well placed in terms of the number of endpoints it can handle.""The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing.""All features are useful. It is useful for preventing the use of unauthorized software on corporate-owned devices. It provides an option to lock the devices for unauthorized software. The devices can only be used under the supervision of the device manager.""The installation is very straightforward."

Cons
"Because our clients are all very satisfied with Ivanti from their side, there is little I can say about room for improvement. However, I think that to stay competitive with other solutions offering a similiar solution, Ivanti could look into making their products more affordable.""Its price could be improved. It could be cheaper. I would like to see a better approach for Android and an easy way to send packages and manage devices."

More Ivanti Avalanche Cons »

"There is room for improvement when it comes to the ability to customize devices and choosing what information goes onto them.""The solution could use better reporting.""In the next release, they should make it easier to migrate.""Adding more features for iOS devices would be an improvement.""The pricing policy of SOTI is not stable. You buy it today at one price, and the following year, it becomes something like 5% or 7% higher. From my point of view, SOTI is a little bit weak in terms of implementation on the new Windows 10 devices, and they have to work on this. It can't compete with Intune and other solutions when it comes to Windows implementation. It almost doesn't work with iOS. It works well with Android.""It would be helpful if the product offered more integration and more features around the iOS and macOS platforms."
