If McAfee can improve the administrative interface to be more user-friendly, then I would definitely recommend it. Currently, you might need some external support to manage it effectively, which can be a cost consideration.

If you're looking for a specific solution like a firewall or a web application firewall (WAF) specifically, then my suggestion might change. It would depend on where you're planning to configure it - Azure, GCP, on-premises, etc. 

For example, if their applications are running on Azure and need a WAF, I would suggest Azure WAF instead of a third-party service like McAfee. But if it's on-premises or another cloud platform, then it depends on the available services. In that case, McAfee might be a good suggestion.

Whether it's McAfee, running on-premises, or Azure Defender for your Azure VMs, it will impact resource utilization. The impact depends on the specific security measurements you're looking for. 

For example, in Azure, Azure Defender is already available and very user-friendly. You just enable it, and it takes care of everything. If McAfee has a similar service available in the marketplace, then I could recommend McAfee as well.

I would advise others to keep track of when their solution expires. It is important to keep your solution up to date. If it is not up to date you can be vulnerable to threats, such as spyware.

As soon as you switch it on, it takes four to five minutes in addition to the lag Windows 10 causes due to the size of the operating system. With respect to protection it's fine, but with respect to the delay of speed, it's much slower.

I wouldn't recommend McAfee Move Antivirus for Windows 10. It has a self-defense mechanism available in the processor itself. In that case, why would you need a separate antivirus? It's not required. The Windows Defender is already available and it's more than capable for just browsing through applications and websites. It's more capable of defending the system from any malware or any virus from the net. So in that case, I feel that McAfee is not required.

The only advice I would give is to ensure there's a proper business arrangement in terms of the support. If there is no support from the vendor deploying the solution, then they must enforce training and knowledge transfer during the project implementation period so that there can be in-house support. Otherwise, they should have a kind of agreement that can confirm that the vendors can support them after deploying the solution.
