In terms of deployment, I take care of it manually. I don't know how to deploy the product in an automated way. I rate the deployment phase an eight out of ten.

I take care of product deployment, and I offer help to our company's customers with quick and fast solutions to their issues.

The solution is deployed on the cloud. I use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, which offers private cloud services.

The solution can be deployed in a few minutes.

It's a great product. Based on the level of easiness of installation, I would rate it three out of five. You need to have an Oracle database as the minimum requirement for APEX. Additionally, an HTTP server is necessary. While I'm not sure if it works with Apache, Oracle has its own HTTP server software, and in the latest version, they use WebLogic. Also, ensure that the Oracle listener is up and running.

Deployment in Oracle APEX is a smooth and straightforward process, and we haven't had any issues with it. Even when creating different environment clones, we can easily migrate applications without complications. Deployment is quite efficient, and it typically takes less than an hour, often around half an hour, thanks to the support of a dedicated DBA and the use of the WebLogic application server. For deployment, after completing application development, we export the application files, including standard features. Then, these files are sent to the Logical Manager, who is the application server administrator. They handle the deployment on the WebLogic server.

The initial setup was straightforward. However, as we started doing more development work, we faced a lot of challenges. I rate the initial setup at eight on a scale of one to ten.

Down the road, at a later stage, I would rate it a two or three at maximum. The initial setup was easy, but as the complexity of the project increased, we encountered several difficulties. Currently, we only have two people who take care of maintenance and development. We have slowed down our development since we have been doing this for the past three years.

The initial setup is neither easy nor hard. I rate it three or four out of ten.

We must set up more than five tools to run the Oracle APEX application, including the database, assets, API publisher, Application Express, web logies, and several tools.

The deployment depends on the project and can be handled by one person. It takes less than one month for a single project or another month for other projects.

The deployment process is the same as for other applications. It typically involves analysis, implementation, coding, database package development, design, and front-end development.

Setting up Oracle APEX is straightforward and usually requires just a one-time installation. It is often included for free with Oracle Database versions starting from 11c. Despite its availability, many users may not be aware of it. APEX serves as both a development and reporting tool, addressing users' dynamic and regular data needs efficiently. With APEX, we can quickly develop custom reports or interactive grids within minutes, automating processes and saving significant time in development cycles, typically taking just two to three months from requirement gathering to deployment.

Setup isn't difficult, but you need to prepare and read the documentation. For example, the setup will be different in Amazon.

Deployment depends on the architecture. It's easy to export configurations from APEX. You only need to make simple changes when importing configurations.

If you want to update versions of APEX, it's difficult because you need to redesign your own web pages. For example, the new version of APEX can't use old designs, so you need to check different web page designs before updating APEX. It's one of the points of difficulty in APEX.

You also need an APEX specialist for deployment because not many people use it.

Oracle has official documentation that shows how to do setup, so it isn't difficult.

It is easy to install and I would rate the installment process 8 out of 10, a piece of cake.

The installment process for our system can be intricate, especially considering ODBC connections to the Oracle database. This involves optimizing for sharing and accommodating multiple users, ensuring efficient session management. Unlike a user-friendly click-and-install approach, our Linux-based installation demands a command-line understanding, necessitating familiarity with Linux commands. We opt for Linux over Windows Server, prioritizing cost-effectiveness with platforms like Oracle Lenovo or CentOS.Initially, we provided hosting on our cloud but encountered challenges with clients reluctant to pay for hosting services. Factors such as unreliable internet and frequent electricity outages in Venezuela further contributed to this preference for on-premise deployment.

The initial setup wasn't easy or complex, it was somewhere in the middle. We deployed it ourselves.

I purchased the database when we started the project with Oracle. I supported the analysis for one year, but after one year we couldn't pay more for the support. We haven't had an issue with maintenance.

APEX is an open-source platform. I'm busy with the application. It is easy to maintain the application in order to go further with more versions of APEX. It has a different kind of database. Data Point 2.1, is the version that I got from Oracle.

I remember the first installation and that time the installation was a little difficult and maybe even very complex. But after maybe 10 or 15 installations now, it is very easy because I know the product better. After gaining some experience, it is very easy.

What was a little difficult the first time is that you must create the network on the database. You must create a different tablespace. After installation, you must use the WebLogic server to launch Oracle APEX form. Then you set the web service and then create WebLogic services. There are a lot of steps there and it is a little different and a bit difficult when you have not had the experience.

When creating projects it might take five or six months for a big production. But I have also completed some products in only two weeks of development.

It is very different for different projects. The project that took only two weeks for developing was because of the size of the project. It was small and I only had five or six forms to build. On the big project that took six months for development, it was because there were a lot of forms, a lot of objects and the project was a lot more complicated.

The initial setup for Oracle Application Express (APEX) is fantastic because you can install or deploy it from the top through Amazon RDS or  CAD. You can deploy the solution quickly. I currently have a project with the ministry to roll out Oracle Application Express (APEX) for fifty-four pluggable databases.

Setting up the solution is smooth, and there's no downtime during deployment. I found its setup excellent.

Deploying Oracle Application Express (APEX) requires taking care of the packages on the databases, as well as publication. It's straightforward.

We have people who surf the servers on our behalf. They are simply regular Windows computers, but not in our location, but in another. Similar to a cloud.

We have several small cloud providers. They are based in the Netherlands.

It is rather complex to install.

I would rate the installation a three out of five.

It took approximately, one day to deploy.

We need two developers to maintain this solution.

It is always fun having to do the Oracle patches. Our DBAs handle all that, but it does affect us as far as having to take systems down to do the upgrades, which gets a little frustrating. It's manageable though. They take about an hour or two.
