Two of my clients have implemented SpamTitan in their marketing and sales departments. They operate through a distribution channel, and this is where they utilize SpamTitan. They are exceptionally pleased with the results. Essentially, they deal with the delivery of products like milk, where customers place orders, and the products are delivered to their doorstep the next morning. Customers can easily place orders through their website, which is highly user-friendly. Interestingly, approximately eighty percent of transactions are now conducted through mobile devices, underscoring the system's convenience and efficiency.

The product's scalability is very good. The tool offers easy integration with multiple platforms.

The product's features and speeding up the application development process stem from the fact that the capabilities provided by the tool are not limited. The whole platform, user experience, and implementation time are good.

The interface of OutSystems has impacted our company's development workflow since it is very user-friendly. I rate the product's interface a four out of five.

Though OutSystems is an expensive product. If an organization wants better dynamics when it comes to a particular platform, I would recommend OutSystems to such companies.

In terms of user support and community engagement, I rate the tool a ten out of ten.

The value and positive impact experience from the use of the solution stems from the fact that it works very well when it comes to load balancing. The product is also easily configurable.

The implementation of the solution is fast, but the challenge is that the guy who is on the ground needs to understand the framework. The framework you are building makes a difference.

Overall, I would rate OutSystems a nine out of ten.

I have used the solution for both web and mobile application development. In the healthcare domain, we used the solution to create a mobile application related to patient care. We also used the solution to create web applications, including banking and in-house enterprise applications.

It hardly takes around six resources, including developers, for a typical project which goes for around six months. I would recommend the solution to other users. I rate the solution a nine out of ten for user support and community engagement.

Since I've worked with the solution for nine years, I'm well aware of its visibility. I will promote the solution if the business needs align with what can be achieved with OutSystems.

I rate OutSystems nine out of 10. OutSystems is the market leader in the local area space on the Gartner Magic Quadrant. As a user, I can say OutSystems is on par with Mendix, and the features are similar, so now it depends on the use case. 

For example, some customers prefer Mendix because they have SAP ecosystems, so they will go with Mendix because it offers native SAP support. Mendix has SAP adapters that are all license-free. These are cost reasons people might choose Mendix. However, there are some cases where an SAP might go for OutSystems because the license is a bit cheaper.

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. 

My advice would be more for OutSystems. They need to make documentation foolproof. They need to make it easy enough for anyone to read and get it up and running. From OutSystems's point of view, they would prefer not to have people struggle for installations, so they should make it really super quick.

I'm an external consultant. I have a few different clients. I have no relationship OutSystems directly.

I played a little bit with OutSystems. I have one of my other clients on an OutSystems user. I'm in the process of just learning. I am trying it out. I have a computer consultant that is helping me. There are certain things that I'm looking at, in general. 

The OutSystems platform is really nice, however, it's very expensive for small to medium-sized businesses. I have one customer that's an enterprise-sized organization that can afford OutSystems, however, there are a lot of my other clients that are not that large. Vinyl might be a better solution for them.

I'd recommend the solution, however, I would suggest those considering the solution to do their homework first. Look at Gartner and other opinions. Understand what you are getting into, and then decide.

I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

OutSystems has a lot of traction in Portugal. We are studying Mendix and Appian to see if they could be adequate in some cases. Some clients don't have the capacity to support OutSystems, or they might be using other tools. We want to adapt to other platforms and tools. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten.

I would definitely recommend OutSystems to others. Overall, I would rate it as a ten out of ten.

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. I still believe in our system, despite some limitations in traditional development. There is always room for improvement. 

I think they are constantly making progress and adding new features. However, sometimes it's not easy to achieve customizations.

A person is required to maintain the solution.

If someone needs to show their customers really fast results of the development phase of an application, OutSystems is a very good solution that is expensive at the same time.

We are a team of ten Software Developers who use OutSystems in my company. We plan to increase the usage of OutSystems in the future. I would rate the overall product an eight out of ten.

We find in OutSystems a great platform that enables extraction of data from multiple sources, and working with business logic to access essential information and produce process-automation at the highest level.

We have future projects in mind to build factory production process with this technology. New developers were recently hired to support the industrial development team and they are being progressively coached in OutSystems development, using an internal training program to reach this goal.

We rate OutSystems an eight out of 10. It is the best platform we have found. However, it’s not perfect.

In terms of advice:

• When possible, use a cloud environment option rather than a local installation.
• Negotiate a suitable license with OutSystems, taking into account that the application objects grow quickly.
• Hire trainers and make sure the development team sets up a proper architecture. If you choose the wrong approach or do not plan appropriate architecture, in a short time you will certainly have a very large rework. 
• It is essential to build an appropriate Canvas.
• Sometimes, junior developers will perform better with OutSystems, since senior developers often do not adapt to the graphical structural programming. It is not a rule, but some resistance and difficulty of adaptation were noticed.
• A good practice is to hire an expert consulting company, for a couple weeks, which already uses OutSystems. They will help your development team with basic questions, increasing the pace of learning and making it more effective. 
• OutSystems has a set of metadata and any kind of control is possible, but these structures should be practiced with the developers.
• OutSystems Forge is a very useful place, when starting out, to download components to adapt to your needs.
• SQL Server is a good default database option for OutSystems. We have never had a problem with it. We recommend using only a single database catalog instead of many.
• Another suggestion is to plan an approach for the REST/SOAP APIs with more security implementations. As a default, it provides NTLM authentication or basic authentication to SOAP API and a custom strategy for REST. We have built a complete architecture with client authorization, IP control, and cryptography over the exposed services. The OutSystems User Provider module can be customized with the company’s default authentication method, however, it is quite simple to maintain the standard module and just push data into the Users and Roles tables. Otherwise, it will take some time to understand how everything works underneath.
• Finally, perhaps the most important tip is regarding development governance. Not only for OutSystems but for all types of development, it is very important to maintain normalized and standardized environments. In a chaotic scene with no effort to have periodic reviews, a low-code platform could create a huge mess and the cost will be paid in the near future.

I would rate the product a nine out of ten. 

While we use version 11.10.20 for service, the service center for LifeTime is 11.0. Currently, we need to upgrade that. The upgrade plan is in progress. We have had to start recently.

I'd recommend the solution to others. 

I would rate it eight out of ten.

They should have OutSystems support with the setup and structuring of the best pricing for the goal that they want to assign to the solutions. Because of the pricing, if you want to use OutSystems for self or internal solutions, it would be very different, but it could be very expensive if you want to develop things for the outside, which would require users and business management. I believe they should receive support directly from OutSystems or through a vendor. I'm not sure which is preferable. However, OutSystems support is required for installation.

I rate OutSystems nine out of 10. I recommend evaluating it as a POC first. If everything is okay, you can start.

I will rate OutSystems a nine out of ten because if you look at other solutions, they do not have the functionality, the scalability and the performance of OutSystems, even if their prices are lower. So if you need a platform for a large organization, OutSystems is the one. 

To make it the perfect solution, it needs improvement in the AI capability. I would say that it would be nice to augment the functionality for the citizen development even further and augment the cloud's platform controls so that you can more easily run in a hybrid cloud environment too. Next to better branching options.

A word of advice to others is that they should align the business and IT because many people look at it from a technical point of view. And that is another really smart thing to do because it is really about driving the value. Because I've seen customers that bought either mandates or OutSystems or any other platforms and a lot of them had difficulties in getting the value out of it. And the reason was because if the IT or individual departments don't know how to define the proper user requirements, and then it is too difficult to successfully deploy it. It is therefore very important for the business and IT team to work together because that is the most common mistake people make. 

Agile development is really worth it. Depending on the size of your department – and requirements – you don’t need a big development team. The same developer can take care of all steps: analysis, development, implementation, support.

To ensure that we will be able to benefit from leveraging internal development capability, I would suggest using a tool, such as OutSystems. With this solution, it is possible to increase the average productivity of the existing team of developers. Even a small increase of two to three percent can lead to significant gains. However, if there is a limited number of developers, it may be difficult to realize substantial productivity gains from using OutSystems.

I rate the solution an eight out of ten. The solution is good but can be improved by updating the tutorials available. I advise people considering the product to ensure they have their data somewhere to generate a certificate. Additionally, I advise them to do their own research. The application makes life easier.

I advise others to ensure they have a long-term strategy for multiple projects while opting for the solution. Otherwise, it would be challenging to receive a return on investment.

The solution is good. I rate it a nine out of ten.

I recommend OutSystems, but I would also point out to others that they're not the only product out there that deserves attention.

Setup is easy, the solution is also easy to learn and there is a lot of community support on forums to help. Aside from the cost, OutSystems has been good for us. I would rate OutSystems a seven out of ten.

The conventional coding rules don't apply here. You need to have an open mind and let the platform take control from you at times.

This is a product that I recommend for anybody who is digitalizing things. It's an incredible tool and you can do things very quickly. Certainly, you should look into it if you are going to implement any kind of application. Whether it is field service, internal applications, external websites, or something else that is related to the digitalization of processes, and where you have to interact with many systems for integration purposes, this is a good tool.

I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.

The maintenance of the solution can be done by one person.

I would recommend this solution to others. There is a portable version available for them to try.

I rate OutSystems a nine out of ten.

OutSystems is a good solution, but it's not cheap. 

On a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of five. The technical features are good, but the actual commercialization is out of reach.

I would advise anyone considering implementing this solution that you need a senior OutSystems developer to help your in-house developers because it can be quite hard to work with in the beginning. If you have a senior OutSystems developer who can help with best practices, then you're good to go. I would give OutSystems a rating of seven out of ten.

The value proposition is not clearly visible out of these platforms as yet. Your penetration level will be decided based on if you are able to reach small and medium enterprises. If I compare something like Zoho with OutSystems, Zoho is getting good traction by purely focusing on the small and medium enterprises. These kinds of things could be game-changers in the future. 

That's where the licensing model becomes a little cryptic. Of course, for enterprise, it makes sense at certain times, and it does not at certain times. The licensing models are one of the things that could be improved there and changed in terms of adaptability.

OutSystems is quite a mature platform. OutSystems provides a lot of capabilities as such. However, it's not a one-size-fits-all kind of solution. Based on the needs, the platform that would be the most suitable one should be decided. 

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

I would give it an eight out of 10 because they need to improve in many areas to make this a great platform.

I would suggest that you go for at least five or six environments. Typically, they provide three environments, and I think you should go for more, perhaps. six environments by default.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate OutSystems at eight.

I started using this solution in 2012 and still am using it for many of our customers and internal projects. OutSystems is a robust, low-code platform that can make a big difference in your customer satisfaction. The overall features of the platform and continuous improvement make it more adaptable than other tools.

I rate it a 10 out of 10. It is fantastic how fast we can build an application. We have a lot of users and the community is growing.
