Regarding scalability, SAP Business One is easy to scale. Adding a new solution or business or customizing the solution to fit a specific company is easy. SAP Business One is very scalable, so it's a five out of five.

I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten because it is somewhat complex. Our company has seventeen limited and five pro licenses; I’m the only person maintaining the solution. The call team is available, but I’m handling all the IT-related technical parts.

It's scalable. You need one database for one legal entity. Those databases are in the cloud. They are out there on the same server, but you need to manage them separately. It's not a unified database. There is a separate database for each legal entity, which is the main difference between this SAP and the big SAP.

We have around 50 users who are using this solution. Its users are finance people, and then we have one internal developer who does the maintenance and upgrades and provides support.

I can't tell you about scalability because we are not demanding so much from the system. But the system has a great deal of information, and I'm not concerned about if we need to use the system with a lot of information.

We have around 10 people that are using SAP Business One, mainly for financial tax reasons, but much more on the contract side for controlling the contracts for our supply. I think most of these 10 people are not for maintenance but to input data.

As we have everything on the cloud we are not customizing anything, we are not demanding anything on maintenance or changing stuff. For example, we are making an integration with a travel system so we bought hours to adjust APIs and then implement it.

We don't have plans to expand more because our company was built for one purpose. And probably when we finish the project, we need to close the company so we are not investing so much in the systems.

CEO/GM at a tech services company with 11-50 employees

I've seen reference customers that can do up to two million transactions a month. I'm not at all worried about scalability. If we hit that level, I will long be retired.

From what I've seen, unless I do one hundred times my current business, I don't see any scalability issues.

We have 12 concurrent users on it. Salespeople, purchasing people, accounting. We also have operations who are doing work for customers that use the service module quite a bit. It's kind of a mixed bag of capabilities that are using the system. Every person has a login. They use a named user license approach. Everyone has their unique ID tied to their unique authorizations of what they can and can't do.

We're using just about every module. We also have a couple of extensions for things that we do outside the system that will automatically update. Any enhancements that we tend to do now are usually web apps that are using a web service connector - for example, collaborative project management through the web. I then update the project details inside the system automatically. Those are really the primary drivers that we tend to run into. I'm using probably 75% of what you get in the box.

I would rate the scalability of SAP Business One a six out of ten. The stability could improve.

I cannot rely on the complete functionality if I implement SAP Business One in my company. For example, if I implement Business One CRM and I cannot rely on it. It is the same with campaign management. It has some functions, but it's not 100% functional, which I can use for my company. We cannot only use this solution in my company because it lacks some functionality.

Scalability is good. It is really easy to add new users or new departments or new branches. I have gone up to 220 users without any problems. So, I think it is good at scalability in increasing the number of users.

Our customers range is broad from the smallest to the largest of our clients. But even if the number of users in a company is small — like, for example, 20 or 25 users — I also have customers who are some of the largest 500 companies in Turkey. These companies are not creating millions of transactions. But if you look at the revenue, then all of the clients — from the smallest that we service — are larger financially than the typical small and medium-sized enterprises.

We typically deal with small to medium-sized organizations.

While the solution is scalable in terms of business expansion, it doesn't come out of the box. It's very specific to a company and its requirements. Therefore, you can't just add to it as the offering is rather bespoke. However, if a company grows in size and has the same requirements, it should be fine.
