Blue Prism Cloud Scalability

Keith Mcdowell - PeerSpot reviewer
Chief Executive Officer at Keith F Kube and Associates

Blue Prism is effortless to scale from a technical perspective, but it's limited by how much you can spend. You'll need to pay 18,000 pounds each time you want to scale.

Blue Prism Cloud is scalable. You can get as many resources as you want. Of course, you need to buy more licenses and the price can increase exponentially.

In terms of scalability, we have a control tool where we can add a respective robot. We do automation through the control tool and deploy the solution to let us procure the machine. We can use the scalability for a lot of different issues but the control room itself does not have the dashboard kind of ability. It really doesn't have the ability to monitor how many bots there are.

I think that the scalability of the product is very good. It is actually very easy to scale.

Group-wide, I think that our organization has somewhere between 70 to 100 developers. That is over 13 countries. We also have plans to increase the usage of automation in the future. We are trying to get our services into every single network bank. I don't know how that will happen and I don't know how long it will take. It is a big undertaking.

Mostly, the solution can scale, however, we do find that if customers want to upgrade or get more options, UiPath makes for a more user-friendly option. It's not as complicated to adjust things when you need to.

OC
Head of Delivery at a tech services company with 11-50 employees

This product is quite scalable. I mean we have not done scaling to huge numbers by percentage. We have done a reasonable volume up to about 50 processes at a time. It has been fine from that standpoint. It does not seem most people using it will make huge jumps in the number of processes that they use all at once.

it_user951519 - PeerSpot reviewer
Robotic Process and Test Automation Consultant at OFGEM

Being a client-server architecture, I see it as a slight barrier to scalability. If an organization has a dedicated infrastructure set up then it will be easier, but the modern ways of plug and play, and more app-driven the way UiPath is, makes for better scalability.
