Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution has been very stable. We haven't had issues at all. It doesn't crash or freeze. There aren't bugs or glitches either.""The file transfer feature allows IT to provide needed drivers and files without interfering with the employee's workflow.""This is a very secure product.""You can't compete with TeamViewer or any other similar products. It's completely in a class of its own.""We have not encountered any issues with stability. Updates leave us with less than 30 minutes of downtime.""The most valuable feature of the solution concerns our company's main use case, which is for connection to our remote clients.""It has a straightforward setup. Bomgar has created a simple, lightweight deployment process.""It's very secure, and it works very well. I like their remote support feature. It can be used for our clients' desktops or anywhere where the client can be working. I'd have to say the product is very good. It's a strong solution for us."

"The ability to send configurations to our systems is valuable, particularly as we don't have a regular Windows AD server. Our current environment doesn't have a Windows AD, which limits our ability to push GPOs. However, this is where the solution can step in and help us push policies.""Among the most valuable features are the Company Portal that is built into Intune, and the update rings so that we can manage what types of future updates the devices get.""The solution has reduced the risk of security breaches by 30%.""The most valuable feature for us is the security, including risk analysis and patch management.""Stable product that's easy to set up compared to other MDM products.""The most valuable feature of Intune is the central dashboard for compliance and policy management.""There are so many features, but Windows Autopilot is one of the features that are very valuable for most customers.""The solution is easy to use and it has good performance."

Cons
"It could be more compatible with other applications. We had trouble with compatibility when it came to Entrust. This is because we had issues with Windows machines when we installed Entrust.""iOS interactive support would be a cool addition. Right now it's a non-interactive view.""The Bomgar representative console could do with modernising. The Web rep console introduced is a marked improvement, but is currently not at feature parity with the thick client. This is being worked on.""It needs better Linux support. We have had issues with Ubuntu specifically.""Non-Windows support capabilities need improvement. They need to expand into Macs, iOS, and Android. It's there now, however, there's room for growth and that's probably the best area to expand.""I would also like to see better support of Apple devices while using a Windows remote support console.""I would have picked an internal team member who was going to stay on the team for more time. Shortly after we went live, we had a change of staff and lost the main implementer.""The ability to connect mobile devices could be improved. Smartphones and tablets are becoming more prevalent throughout corporate environments. From time to time, we have problems connecting to those devices. You can't stage the application to connect without a user's input. You had to guide them through enabling permissions for the app. Then they need to enter the URL and session key. It would be great if they could streamline that process."

More BeyondTrust Remote Support Cons →

"Having a dedicated configuration server that assists in modifying the configuration service, and creating personalized structures, interfaces, and web services could enhance usability.""Once it's configured it is unobtrusive, but it does take some hands-on to configure and deploy it properly.""It would be better if I could integrate it with my core group policy. I would like to have a group policy in my current environment, which has strict control, but those things are still missing. Although it has maximum compliance and security, it's not available on-premise.""The UI also needs improvements because it is complex for end-users. We have had feedback from a few users in our organization who found the UI is not feasible for tracking and analyzing all the processes and monitoring all the devices.""What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade.""There are some issues using the solution with macOS and iOS, and it offers limited granular control with them. Intune works better on Windows and Android.""We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script.""Due to the abundance of features, there's a lot to organize, which makes managing and setting up the solution challenging. The setup is immense, and it would be good to see improvement in this area."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "This product provides value for money."
  • "The product maintenance and licensing costs are on the higher end, so I would carefully review how many licenses you need. The concurrent license model is helpful in this manner."
  • "Pricing is reasonable for what the service is offering. If it is looked at from a purely remote control perspective then it might appear expensive, but it is the wider functionality that should be considered too."
  • "Bomgar has a very fair pricing structure."
  • "Although the upfront cost is a bit overwhelming, the appliance will pay for itself in less than two years."
  • "The setup is complex. Purchase the remote implementation service and make them slow down and work with you."
  • "I would like to order more licenses. This would allow us to support more end users concurrently."
  • "I highly recommend using the tech team properly trained by Bomgar. This will help the tool be more useful."

  • "Consider the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite rather than choosing specific sub-components, e.g. only Microsoft Intune."
  • "There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products."
  • "Microsoft Intune is a cost effective choice. It is less expensive than other products on the market."
  • "The purchase of the product was handled by someone else."
  • "I have no comment on pricing of the solution."
  • "The product is offered as part of a Microsoft standard bundle. The pricing can be competitive to Airwatch, and Maas360."
  • "For Microsoft 365 E5 clients, cost is not an issue as this product is one of the benefits."
  • "The price of Intune is included with the license for Office 365, so we don't have to pay anything extra for it."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by BeyondTrust Remote Support users.

A Cybersecurity Architect at a tech vendor says, “The most valuable features are the ease of deployment, performance, pre and post-sales support, the vast majority of the localization they have done and the solution provider that they support. You can't compete with TeamViewer or any other similar products. It's completely in a class of its own.”

An Enterprise Service Desk Systems Manager at a manufacturing company comments, "Screen sharing, in general, is pretty important for a service desk. Another thing that I have found to be very helpful is that you can also do screen sharing on a cell phone. When people have an issue with their cell phone, it is ordinarily very difficult to troubleshoot the issue. With BeyondTrust Remote Support, you can share the cell phone screen, and somebody can take a look at it remotely. I am not sure if other competing solutions offer this feature. It is pretty user-friendly. It is also good performance-wise."

PeerSpot user Mark B., Sr VP of Business Operations at Networking Technologies and Support, Inc., explains that he thinks the solution is “Great for delivering end-user support, good at recording sessions, and very stable.

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
