We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The first thing that we liked about this solution is that administrators do not have access to private folders.""The application is very light in terms of uploading and downloading files.""The interface is very good.""Box is very user-friendly; more so than SharePoint.""We've never had a penetration. We've never had a security issue that their support didn't solve. We love their audit trail. We can know exactly when a collaborator opens. We love how you can define a collaborator.""Governance and ease of use are why I think a lot of people like Box, including ourselves. Basically, we're concerned about what information is being sent to Box, so we use a lot of the Box governance features to make sure that what is being sent to Box is appropriate. If it is not appropriate, it is not allowed to be sent. It is also pretty easy to use. It is the easiest to use for customers and for technologists.""Box is very realistic when it comes to sharing capabilities."

"The Power BI environment and the integration between Power BI and SQL are the solution's most valuable features. The integration between products is great.""The flexibility of having a subscription for the Office software, rather than having any upfront costs is the best part of this solution.""The most valuable feature for us is Microsoft Teams.""It has file storage, file sharing, a provisioning box, and a SharePoint profile for each user.""The two biggest value adds of the solution are having the ability to outsource the email and not having to manage the email server. It's just seamless. Having the most current versions all around and having things updating frequently by themselves ensures that everybody's got access to the same software.""Cost-saving, easy and intuitive""It's great that one user can log onto many different devices.""Microsoft 365 Business is easy to use, everything is clear, it has good support, and it integrates well with other solutions."

Cons
"I would like to see improvements made in the ability to integrate with other online sharing systems.""Better integration with other solutions is needed.""The integration with other products should be improved.""The UI should be faster. Sometimes it lags when switching between documents.""I recommend doing the trial first, because it's not cheap ware. It's not overly expensive, but it's not cheap ware, and enterprise has a minimum number of users.""I haven't really come across a case where we're not able to use it for what it is, so I don't really have anything holding us up or any customers holding us up at this point that I know of. There are always some limitations, but as a technologist, I just live with them, and there is always room for improvement, but I don't have anything quantifiable.""If there was a plugin that added some sort of toolbar in Office, that would be great."

More Box Cons »

"The solution's licensing framework needs improvement.""There are various things that you need to use PowerShell to do. That would be good. You could do them through the management portal, rather than through PowerShell. That's the biggest improvement I would like to see.""The pricing for this solution could be improved.""Updates to the SQL server with better features are needed to compete with Oracle Database.""The ability to manage the updates a little better would be helpful. Sometimes end-users will get a prompt in the middle of the day that they have to update. When there's a new update, then their system automatically starts to reboot, which can be ill-timed. Having a little more control over that would probably be welcome. Notices in regards to updates and being able to manage the timing around them or to be able to do it at off-times would be helpful.""No assistance with initial setup.""The solution's ability to scale could be improved.""Security could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"The pricing of this solution is better than Dropbox.""I believe Box is cheaper than SharePoint.""They are very price competitive when pushed. Initially, they come out with a standard list price, but they are willing to be very competitive. The Box price was pretty much equal to or lower than the Citrix price, and Box has more features.""There's a free version that allows you to use it with almost full-feature access. Even in the free version, it gives you all you need."

"Compared to buying a license, it is much cheaper and a good buy.""We do monthly billing, however, I'm not sure what the exact costs are. We may pay around $1,000/month. We started using the Microsoft Teams and we've started doing the conference call feature, so that's another $4 an account and we have a few accounts using that right now.""USD $1,250 annually for the standard package.""Pricing can vary a lot due to fluctuations in exchange rates and that is not favorable for planning.""Now you can select different licenses, for example, if somebody doesn't need all of the features, it would cost $8 USD per month and if they didn't need the email application then it would cost $6 USD per month.""It works out to be $12.50 per user per month.""Microsoft 365 Business will be good to have if you have a large organization where you have more than 3000 employees. Other cheaper solutions, like Gmail, are easily available in the market.""They are always a bit pricey. They should reduce their prices or make it free because we already have other solutions, like Google Suite, which are cheaper or free."
