Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"All features that we have deployed are useful. We do access office emails on our smartphones, and we have complete sync with Active Directory. Our calendar also gets synced in the MaaS360 application. We also ensure that the data from these official applications is not being misused by any of the employees. We have disabled cut, copy, paste, and all such features. It ensures that all the official data that our employees have on their smartphones is secure. Security is the paramount feature that we value in this product.""The most valuable feature is the fact that we can find a lost device or shut the device down and wipe it is good for HIPAA.""Maas360 uses distribution groups to deploy apps, which makes it a bit easier than, for example, Intune.""Remote enablement feature and access to internal resources on the VPN.""One valuable feature is the ability to provide a secure environment. Another is the kiosk mode where MaaS360 can be used over a tablet or mobile device to ensure that a single application is used.""We've found the scalability to be very good.""The ability to send an iPad out to someone and have them auto-provision it when they are out in the field is fantastic. We don't have to have it all configured before we ship it. This is probably the biggest value add.""Using this solution has made things more convenient. Earlier, we had to depend a lot more on IT to find and resolve our issues."

"In terms of valuable features, we liked the lock feature, the roll-out white feature, and the find feature. I think that Sophos had a GPS locator, so you could figure out where the phone was from a GPS location.""They always add more features to this product.""The management and enrollment process is great, and with the asset management and instant action menu, we can easily maintain and support the users."

Cons
"The user experience really isn't so good.""The user interface could definitely use some improvement.""The price could be lower.""Zero day support is something they can work on. They can make it a little bit more user-friendly.""The look needs to be updated and it could be simpler to use.""The solution needs to offer live technical support. Right now, it's just a chat window and it's rather unhelpful.""Local technical support would be helpful.""User interface is basic and not very intuitive."

"We would like to see graphics showing the use of each device.""It could be more secure.""In terms of what could be improved, the initial configuration and setup of the environment could probably be made a little bit easier. There are so many pieces that go into it. Intune is absolutely insane and Sophos is better, but it still is a bit complex to get it all set up correctly."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Price is something for which we are always under pressure. If we have to look at the MaaS deployment, the price definitely has to come down. This is clearly one of the areas that we will have to work on, not only as a provider to our customers but also as a consumer of this service.""Fees are monthly and it's approximately $8 per user.""MaaS360 is priced at a balance. It is not as expensive as AirWatch or Jamf and is not a cheap solution like a few of the local products.""I feel the pricing to be very high."
