Our company usually opts for vendor support and principal vendors also.

A few teams are involved in the deployment and maintenance process, such as the team that changes the tools, the team that handles the solution, and the team that handles devices.

I'm able to assist clients with the implementation.

It took about one month for us to deploy Trend Micro Deep Security. We had an integrator deploy the pilot of the first 30. After the pilot, our team deployed the rest.

The solution was deployed by consultants. I think one professional from the system integrator or the OEM and one in-house resource are enough for this deployment.

Moreover, it is just like any other IT solution in terms of maintenance. Since it is installed on a server host, whatever general maintenance is required for that host is what’s needed—just general IT maintenance. We have an in-house team of IT and security engineers who take care of the maintenance.

Automation is a big part of everything that we do. The team setting it up would have had to set up Chef scripts and other things to make sure that we could automatically deploy. This would have been part of the configuration and management into the AWS environment.

Trend Micro’s team helped us to deploy the solution and make test addresses for the policy. The deployment took us two hours. Trend Micro’s team helps us with maintaining the solution.

Deployment of the product was done by the reseller. He came to my office and deployed Trend Micro Deep Security in all locations, through remote deployment.

We used a combination of an integrator, a technical account manager, and our in-house team.

We did not use an integrator or consultant. We have a small team. We handled things internally. For the first implementation, however, we did have an integrator's support and they would assist when we ran into issues. 

We have different people to handle the implementation. Our technical team gets involved at that point then we finalize the scope and document whatever the customer wants for this solution.

The end users can implement the product themselves.

You do need certified engineers for it.

We deployed under the consultation of Trend Micro. But I can also manage it. When we run into any actual problem only then do we contact Trend Micro. Otherwise, it is running smoothly.

I was involved in the setup from a managerial perspective. I contracted with Trend Micro support to provide us with implementation support.

The install was done by a Trend Micro tech (Trevor) and later supported by Martin Sima. Both are excellent fellows.

We did the initial setup with our in-house team with significant help from Trend Micro technical support. I'd rate them very poorly because they completely missed the compatibility with vSphere issue. It took us a lot of time to fix the entire mess.

The implementation team was formed with inside analysts and vendor specialists. It's strongly recommended to use someone with the necessary skills to work with VMware and have someone familiar with infrastructure and security analysis.

It was implemented in our company. Our security team manages it. We have two people on the team.
