Arista Networks Platform Other Advice

Speaking about whether the product enhanced our company's data center scalability, I would say that it was a solution that was used in a banking company, where it served as a replacement for Cisco. Though Arista Networks Platform is similar to Cisco IOS CLI, I feel that the former product offers better prices compared to the latter tool. Arista Networks Platform office is more efficient at a lower cost.

I recommend the product to those who plan to use it.

The tool is stable and cheaper than Cisco.

I would say that Arista Networks Platform is 100 percent compatible with the existing infrastructure in my company.

The impact of the tool's network telemetry on our company's troubleshooting practices was just good for the scope for which I need the product.

I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.

The solution enhances the data center's scalability as it helped our company build environments where there were a lot of network blocks.

I cannot share my experience in the cloud environment where the solution helps in cloud computing deployment. For the on-premises environment within data centers, my company was able to use Arista Networks Platform.

Arista's technologies related to switches and CloudVision Portal (CVP) are the most valuable functions of the product that improved my company's network performance.

The product's features like ZTP are good and have benefited our IT operations. My organization is not a retail company. In the current organization where I work, we don't get to leverage ZTP at a very large scale or deploy the tool within the data center. In our company, we use ZTP occasionally.

I recommend the product to those who plan to use it.

The product is good and is evolving, making it worth giving a try.

I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.

First of all, because the price of Arista products are so similar to those of Cisco, we often need to coordinate the opportunity to provide a proof-of-concept, usually with demo devices. Generally, we will first use the demo devices, and only then buy the devices from Arista.

Most of the time, Arista products are used in data centers and most of our customers typically need to use BGP EVPN and VXLAN. When working with a customer to decide on either Arista vs. Cisco products, we will first explain how the configuration process works with both of these solutions. At this point, the benefits of using Arista become clear to the customer, since the configuration is much easier. The fact that there is only one operating system that works across the devices (if one device supports a feature, it's likely that most of the other devices will, too) is one more reason I would recommend going for Arista.

If the price weren't so high, I would probably rate Arista the highest score, but because of this I would rate Arista Networks a nine out of ten.

I was an Arista customer.

I wasn't a part of the integration process and therefore can't speak to those capabilities.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

I would tell potential users that if they are supporting a media or trading kind of business, they should go for Arista because it is a low-latency switch that will meet the expectation of the business.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Arista Networks Platforma nine.

I would recommend this solution. We've been happy with it. I don't really have too many complaints about it. They are pretty good about releasing new features. They keep adding new features on their centrally managed platform, which is CloudVision.

I would rate Arista Networks Platform a nine out of ten.

I would recommend Arista for certain applications, for microbiological and molecular calculations; for supercomputing. If you are looking for an ultra-low latency network, this is the only solution. There is nothing else that is similar.

It has low-latency, stability, and scalability because it is modular. If you have the budget, go for it.

This solution was my first experience with the new, modern data center architecture.

My advice to anybody who is implementing this series of switches is to carefully check the features that are supported on each model. Some new features are not supported on all platforms. I know that Arista still sells some old models that do not support the newest features.

This is a good solution, but the documentation needs to be improved. More detailed configuration examples are definitely needed.

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

We are a publicly funded hospital in North Germany, so we are limited in what we would like to add to our infrastructure.

If you are looking for a future-proof solution, you just need to ask questions about the scalability and stability. You should do a proof of concept with Arista.

Get in contact with them to see how they solve problems. This is a beneficial experience. Even if somebody chooses another vendor, they should base a valid opinion about Arista.

I would strongly recommend this solution.

I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.

I rate this solution a nine out of ten. I would recommend Arista Networks Platform for next-generation data centers because it is very stable. They have stable hardware and code, which is better than Cisco and Juniper. However, it has one operating system for all platforms, which could lead to problems because you're running on one code.

We're using both Arista Networks Platform and Aruba switches. We use Aruba switches mainly for wireless and campus, while Arista Networks Platform we are using more for the data center.

We are a distributor for Arista and Aruba.

Deployment for Arista Networks Platform is on-premises, with a bit of public cloud, but most of the deployment is on-premises.

I would put Arista Networks Platform at a ten out of ten rating, particularly because of their support and their features.

I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten. The only negative that applies to them is the price.

I would recommend Arista for enterprises considering their price point, however, I would not recommend it for the SME/SMB market. Although it's a wonderful product, the price is something that an SME or SMB cannot afford.
