In terms of ROI, the labor saving is probably the biggest. The NPR is probably second - although management would probably reverse these.

We're still early on in our transformation process. That said, we are gaining a lot of steam in terms of adoption. Both the engineering team and the product team are seeing tremendous value from this solution.

The solution has saved months of time and reduced blindspots for all app teams.

From the number of outages stopped or shortened (which lead to lost revenue from non-renewals) and the number of hours saved on investigations (which correlates to engineering salaries), I estimate that the ROI of the implementation time and monthly charges to be between 10x and 20x.

Our return on investment is great and is so much better than CloudWatch. We can easily integrate with Pagerduty for alerting.

I'm unsure as to if we've seen an ROI.

Before, the ROI was much higher as you would not have to compete with any kind of tool since they were very good in the space. However, with time, other companies have picked up the slack. Now, you have other tools which provide a higher ROI. I cannot give a specific ROI percentage since I don't use it for personal use with deployment. We deploy it on behalf of customers. Obviously, depending on the deal, depending on the size, and the ROI will vary. If people are looking for a global monitoring solution in the same tool as Datadog network monitoring, they are always hindered as Datadog does not provide an adequate solution for it. That kind of decreases the ROI since you still need to get another tool to do the network monitoring.

We don't have hard numbers on ROI. That said, overall, it has been a wonderful addition to our tooling suite.

I'm not sure what our ROI would be.

The ROI is the speed at which we can debug live sites. It has been excellent. It's amazing how many incidents we can capture before customers notice.

I do not have this number off-hand, as I am not the finance guy. I just like the product.

I cna't speak to the ROI.

We've saved many developer hours by using Datadog. We plan on expanding our investment in this solution (and thus our return).

I don't know what the ROI is at this stage.

Our ROI is high.

We can see trends a lot easier than if we didn't have the solution. The management can see the changes which are being made, whether it being performance or in the number of hosts that went down. We recently made internal improvements to some of our internal APIs, so we reduced the number of servers that we needed. So, you could see that the load on the system went down and the number of servers went down. Thus, it was easy to visualize.

The ROI is very fair so far.

ROI is difficult to measure completely. Our first year spend compared to our second and now going into the third year spend have been significantly different.

Datadog helps us minimize downtime and helps us resolve issues quickly.  

The product has provided good ROI by saving development time as well as time managing setting up ES.

We've seen an ROI of 50%.

Our ROI with Datadog has been very high. It's given us the ability to see how we're performing, which we didn't have before.

It is not my job to track the ROI.

Ideally, this will inform our strategy to not increase our customer support headcount as significantly into 2023 and beyond.

Time to resolution production issue

I am not in much of a position to address the question of return on investment, although I believe it is for the better that my organization employs the solution.

No returns yet. We are in growth mode. If this becomes expensive we may have to look at alternative options.

We haven't seen ROI at my current company. The solution is too new. 

At my last company, we did see ROI, specifically around response time. We could get to mission critical things that were down and losing revenue on immediately. So, the product paid itself back.

We didn’t calculate explicitly, but as we used the product to track down underutilized instances, it more than paid for itself in the first month.

We've witnessed ROI in our DevOps.

It is too early for that. I have not yet seen the impact on my budgetary lines or process optimization. I had ten people in my Security Ops team earlier, and I still have ten people. They are definitely happier as users than before, but what does that give to the organization is not yet clear to me. 

It has saved us a lot of trouble in implementation.

I have not seen ROI out.

In terms of employee time: While the instructor costs were transferred to Datadog, it freed up our engineers to work on things which were of valuable to our business rather than maintaining a service that we don't make money on.
