The SAP SuccessFactors Learning module offers all employees in the organization the opportunity to constantly improve their skills and expand their knowledge about various subjects. It's a learning curve and a robust system that provides courses, lessons, and training to meet all our employees' needs and ensure they stay on track.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a cloud-based platform, and the majority of our customers are using it on the SAP Cloud.

How has it helped my organization?

Today's business environment emphasizes constant improvement in all aspects of companies' operations. As a result, companies recognize the importance of continuously training, educating and enhancing the skills of their employees at all levels. SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a tool that assists them in efficiently executing this process.

What is most valuable?

When we inquire with employees, we find that everyone desires opportunities for training and skill development. However, it is crucial for organizations to manage their budgets while providing valuable training and knowledge sharing in areas that truly benefit the company. The primary goal is to enhance the scope of learning and ensure that learning adds value to the organization. SAP SuccessFactors Learning does both of these things.

What needs improvement?

I would like the SAP EC connectivity to be improved.

The technical support team has room for improvement.

How was the initial setup?

The implementation is quite complex, not due to the system itself, but because of the specific requirements of the clients. Therefore, during the setup process, we must make necessary adjustments to cater to each client's needs. For example, if the system is used in a large organization, which may have around 4,000 employees, setting it up and implementing it correctly can be quite challenging.

The deployment process requires a minimum of six months. It begins with a preparation phase, followed by three distinct implementation phases, and concludes with post-implementation hyper care or support. These steps are provided by the SAP methodology and can be easily accessed on the SAP website.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I rate the price for SAP SuccessFactors Learning an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a cloud-based solution, so we don't need a license. Instead, we have a subscription. Additionally, we need to factor in the cost of implementation, which is roughly double the subscription cost, and then there's the cost of maintenance. Considering all these factors, the solution becomes expensive.

What other advice do I have?

I give SAP SuccessFactors Learning a nine out of ten.

I would recommend finding someone who can comprehend the needs of the organization and understand the business to hire them as the implementation partner. Do not rely on someone who is simply cheap and quick, as this may lead to incorrect implementation.

    What is our primary use case?

    This solution is used for employee management, including departments and employee life cycle processes. We manage all employee life cycle events within this application, such as promotions, transfers, job changes, organization changes, global contracts, assignments, and everything related to the employee life cycle, from hiring to termination.

    What is most valuable?

    I find the user interface user-friendly compared to the initial application. It has improved resource allocation and access functions. It also reduces the number of clicks required to perform tasks, making it more efficient than legacy solutions.

    What needs improvement?

    There is always room for improvement. In my opinion, the price could be cheaper.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    We have been using it for the past three years.

    It is a stable solution.

    It depends on the customers and their specific feature requirements. As consultants, we consider the customers' needs and provide recommendations.

    The initial setup was not complex, it was simple. The deployment time depends on the workforce, the number of employees, the number of entities across the country, and other factors.

    On average, it takes around one year to implement a complete solution. However, if there are many entities all around the world, it may take longer.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    The pricing changes and the license amount is quite costly. It is competitive compared to other solutions in the market. It may provide a technical advantage in terms of competition with enterprise solutions.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    I have experience in SuccessFactors. I'm currently working in a company that is in the process of implementing a Tango solution for recruiting and onboarding.

    So, it seems that before we implemented SuccessFactors, they were using Tango. They have been using SuccessFactor for five years.

    What other advice do I have?

    On a scale from one to ten, I would rate SAP SuccessFactors around eight out of ten. I would recommend SuccessFactors for future use.

    The support for SAP SuccessFactors Learning is very bad and very difficult to communicate with. You just get standard answers just so the support team could fulfill SLAs. You get asked standard questions that were already discussed in the ticket. The support team for SAP SuccessFactors Learning isn't that knowledgeable.

    The setup for SAP SuccessFactors Learning is very complex. For example, if you're doing a historic data load, you need to import learning items such as classes and courses from the legacy system, and the way it is done, it's just stone-age.

    In terms of how long the deployment takes for SAP SuccessFactors Learning, my company currently has the suite in place, so now you just need to implement the learning part of it, which takes roughly six months.

    What about the implementation team?

    We used consultants for the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Learning.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    The licensing cost for SAP SuccessFactors Learning is rather expensive, but it's not the only SAP tool my company uses in the suite, so it's very hard to compare prices.

    I evaluated Cornerstone Learning.

    What other advice do I have?

    I'm using SAP SuccessFactors Learning currently. I'm working with the whole SAP Success Factors suite, but my focus is on Learning. I'm using the latest version of the solution. It's deployed on the cloud, not on-premises.

    Currently, thirty thousand people use SAP SuccessFactors Learning within the company, but once implementation has been completed, there'll be around forty-two thousand users of the solution.

    My advice to others looking into implementing SAP SuccessFactors Learning is to use a different system such as Cornerstone Learning.

    My rating for SAP SuccessFactors Learning is seven out of ten.

    We deployed SAP SuccessFactors Learning for LMS (learning management system). We have created our own content and made mandatory courses for a few lines of business.

    What is most valuable?

    The most valuable features of the solution were the deployment and onboarding. The solution's customization and reporting were very easy. The solution's interface is very user-friendly when creating or consuming course content.

    What needs improvement?

    The solution should have a more user-friendly dashboard because its current dashboard is not so great. It would be more helpful if it could be integrated with the standard integration available with SAC. That would help the managers, supervisors, and department heads.

    On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a one out of ten.

    What other advice do I have?

    The solution's integration was homogeneous because it works with other SAP products. There were no issues, and we used the local APIs to connect.

    We used to generate weekly and monthly reports, and there were jobs or schedules created for reporting based on the date of onboarding and an employee's role. That used to help the immediate supervisor and the employee understand where they stood regarding the allocated courses or the learning path.

    We faced challenges usually in the course content creation. That was our only challenge because we didn't have people who could create the content the way we wanted. Over a period of time, we could train a few of our internal employees to do that, and we were able to work on that challenge as well.

    Now, subject matter experts would provide the content. A team would create the content and work with the subject matter expert to see how to deploy it. Then, a deployment plan is made, and the contents are rolled out.

    SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a cloud-based solution.

    Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

    We use this solution for our company website. I use it either through my mobile or through my laptop and access the learning modules that are already there in the organization.

    The entire organization is using this solution. It's about 500,000 users.

    What is most valuable?

    The interface is really friendly, and the training embedded in it is very easy to use, explore, and search. The catalog is pretty strong.

    What needs improvement?

    I am talking about SAP in general, so there are multiple screens that you have to go through, and it takes some time to get used to it.

    The screens are friendly but rather than having a single interface, there are multiple layers.

    It's there for a bigger organization. For smaller organizations, it does not make sense to invest in it. It's an enterprise-based solution for organizations that have more than 5,000 users.

My company uses SAP SuccessFactors Learning to scale our online learning and e-learning courses for two years in different countries. My company uses SAP SuccessFactors Learning as an in-class training management system and also to generate reports about the training.

    The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that SAP SuccessFactors Learning is integrated with other modules in SAP SuccessFactors. The data from the module known as SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is connected with SAP SuccessFactors Learning, making it possible for its users to use the tool's automatic alert settings.

    The GUI and dashboards are areas in the solution with shortcomings where improvements are required.

    The product's setup phase is fine, but the use of e-learning and classroom modules can be a bit difficult since they are not intuitive, and you may need a lot of training to be able to use them.

    The time required for the deployment phase of the solution depends on the size of your organization and the configuration process. The solution's deployment phase may take around six months for international organizations.

    My company sought a consultant's help during the solution's deployment phase.

    My company does have to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs of the solution. My company considers the solution to be worth its price, but we don't consider it to be a cheap solution.

    I was not a part of the selection and implementation phases of the product. The solution providers from some other company carried out the configuration part.

    What is our primary use case?

    We primarily use this solution for Performance Management and E-Recruitment.

    In this approach, a company decides to buy a Cloud package or system from a vendor. Unlike the custom development, which is designed with flexibility in mind and fits exactly into the business need of the company, a brought system can be inflexible as it is designed to be sold to various other companies and so it provides you with the same functionalities as everyone.

    One of the main advantages of buying a Cloud solution, is that unlike the custom development that can take a long time to be developed and implemented, when buying a Cloud solution, it is already built and ready to be installed with ability to configure a limited business requirements.

    • Proven track record as the Vendor and SI spend hundreds of hours developing, testing, and researching the system (this results in fewer bugs, threats, and a more functional system).
    • No need for constant maintenance.
    • Implements best practices (this aligned with HR vision).
    • Real-time Data and Business Reporting In a wide range.
    • Data consistency and accuracy.
    • Mobility (the system can be accessed from smartphone platforms).

    The most valuable features in this solution are:

    • Cloud Solution enables accessing the system from the internet, with no need to be within the company network.

    • Implements best practices
    • Elimination of Redundancies (elimination of entering the same details multiple times for different purposes and double or duplicate entries).
    • Avoiding the Backup and Restore issue.

    What needs improvement?

    The UX & UI, including the GUI, need to be improved.

    The system functionality is not customizable.

    The company has to rely on the vendor for technical support when issues come up.

    This solution does not support right to left for the Arabic Language, and the Arabic text support is very bad.
