Creating chats with any combination of people and the remind function.

How has it helped my organization?

We've been using it almost from the very start. It has helped us keep communication open between our international offices.

What needs improvement?

There are a lot of features in Slack that I don't use, because I don't know about them. I found the remind feature when I Googled the Pomodoro technique. I found this by chance. It would be helpful if Slackbot gave me some tips on features that I don't currently use.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using the solution for more than two years.

I appreciate the rich integrations that allow us to monitor and interact with a number of our systems and infrastructures.

How has it helped my organization?

We are given an overview of our system status. We are able to respond quickly to infrastructure events, marketing events, customer service events, etc.

What needs improvement?

Threaded discussion needs improving.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used the product for two years.

We had no stability issues.

The setup was straightforward as the Slackbot walks you through the whole process.

Be sure to delete inactive users.

Slack is a very robust, flexible platform, which allows for a lot more, not just chat.

What needs improvement?

Some features and plugins can be pretty obscure or difficult to deploy.

Two years.

It came pre-installed but also has a nice web interface. We did have difficulty deploying some features and plugins.

We have had no issues with stability.

We have had no issues with scalability.

It came pre-installed, so we did not need to do any setup on our part.

Neither, as it came pre-installed.

Mac version built into Safari has a lot of informative space and allows for custom CSS (right click > inspect elements) if you want it more personal and/or something puts you off in the standard settings.

Tons of integrations and bots makes it unique.

How has it helped my organization?

Inter-department communication in wizarding world relies on paper planes while muggles can easily manage everything with Slack ;)

What needs improvement?

Readability. It's disputed but HipChat is winning this battle due to the larger reading screen space.

Excellent.
