Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"In general, the solution is very flexible and can be configured in multiple ways.""The performance management system is really good.""It is a good product, and it is suitable for different client requirements. It has customization options and flexibility. You can customize a report or configure the workflow based on your requirements. Everything is there in the product, and you can customize it as per your requirement. Our clients found the automation of the payroll, leave attendance, and onboarding modules the most valuable. The Time and Attendance module is fully integrated with this solution and supports multiple data entry modes, such as barcode, biometric device, fingerprints, and face reading. Its core HR module includes features like movement, expense management, exit, and separation. The compensation and benefits module includes features like welfare, retirement, and superannuation. It also has analytical tools. You can create a real-time report based on your requirements. You can also publish that report in different formats, such as Excel, PDF, HTML, etc. It has a chatbot feature, which is using machine learning and natural language. You can ask questions about your leave balance, attendance, or things like that, and you will get an immediate reply from the chatbot. It also supports approval through email."

"The performance goals and learning management solutions are the product's most valuable features.""The overall functionality of the solution is very good.""It's very user-friendly.""SuccessFactors offers all aspects of Human Resources Management. What I love most about it is that it can be implemented for any company very quickly.""It has improved my organization by enabling us to efficiently manage our personnel.""The initial setup was pretty simple.""In terms of user experience, it is quite good.""I think it's perfect that every requirement has flexibility in how it is handled, and that there are several workarounds for any problem we are looking to solve. Each problem has multiple solutions, so it gives us a lot of flexibility in terms of processes."

Cons
"They can improve the configuration time because it takes more time than other products to configure the system. It could be because they are managing this single product for all countries, but it would be good if they improve the implementation time because we need to implement the solutions within a timeline. They should provide some kind of auto-configuration so that the system can be configured and implemented within a certain timeline. Implementors should have a provision to configure the system in a short time. There should also be an option to move the setup or configuration from staging to production to save time. These types of automation should be there.""The product itself sometimes feels inconsistent because it comes with bugs.""The mobile app and web page user experience could be more user friendly."

More Ramco HCM Cons »

"It is not that user-friendly. It can be made more user-friendly.""The solution needs more localization, especially for the Middle East and Russia.""To explain one feature that I would like to see in SuccessFactors, I must describe a similar feature as seen in Oracle. In Oracle, there's a feature called Workforce Prediction, and with this feature, we can predict some of the behaviors of any employee. For example, the software can attempt to predict whether the employee might resign in future, or perhaps if they will start to perform better. This is something that is missing in SuccessFactors.""I think there is room for improvement in user friendliness. In my experience, users are sometimes confused about how to use the solution.""The reporting and cloud integration could be done better in this solution.""Its overall integration and user experience can be improved. SuccessFactors is a system that is built out of three different systems. The elements part was bought from Plateau, and the original performance dialogue was built by SuccessFactors itself. After that, SAP bought it, and it hasn't improved in the last few years. SuccessFactors is a perfect tool if you use it the way it is meant to be, but if you start building custom sessions and try to use it differently, then it is a total mess. It is not agile. It is like an old Mastodon truck or whatever. We don't have the Employee Central and Competence Management modules. Our company made the choice to not implement the Employee Central module. We also didn't implement the Competence Management module. We use the learning module to do some competence management, but I am not that fond of it. It would have been best to have the whole suite. SAP should never sell this without selling the whole suite because it just doesn't work. The biggest gain for me would be having the possibility of doing strategic personnel planning and managing internal mobility. If it could be used for social purposes, such as creating communities and connecting with media channels, that would be perfect. It should also have the possibilities for local admin and agile product development.""Also, it would be helpful if they could improve its ability to localize the product to Nigeria.""he user interface could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"I am not aware of the price because I was working in the implementation team, but pricing is generally based on the requirement, modules, headcount, and country.""Their customized solution is pretty expensive but much cheaper than its competitors."

More Ramco HCM Pricing and Cost Advice »

"It could be cheaper.""If you go by best practices and do it right from the outset, the setup won't be a costly endeavor. In terms of setup, there is a lot of flexibility compared to three years ago.""I don't want to comment on the license cost, to be honest. It could be about $1,000 approximately per customer. However, it's very flexible in terms of the licensing costs depending on the volume and depending on the deal of installation."
