Smartsheet is used for secure team collaboration, whether with global or with cross-functional teams. It's a good solution for a PMO, even for marketing strategies, IT tech dashboards for ticketing, etc.

My scope was mostly learning Smartsheet for the first few months, which was the hardest part because it's a huge learning curve. There's not a lot of documentation, and their training was extremely general because it's your solution you're building. It was not like Excel where if somebody runs into a problem or has hit an error or has had an issue, they could quickly look it up and find some community support. The Smartsheet community is very good, but they're also still new, so trying to find advanced solutions to have to work around within Smartsheet was the hardest part. It became, instead of an eight-hour job, more like between sixteen to twenty hours of work to get the full solution done. 

The thing about the emerging technology team that I worked with at Verizon using Smartsheet was that the team thought it was like Excel on steroids. That's the idea that everybody keeps thinking, that it's an out-of-the-box experience and that it's going to be the solution that they need. You have to apply full rules and functionality the way that you need to from the very beginning, you need to know what you want, have everything set up the way that you want it to be set up, and designed the way you want it to be designed, and customized before you ever produce. Because once you get started in Smartsheet, people just don't stop, so making sure you add that baseline of everything that you want it to be and understand its capacity, scalability, and true functionality, it's an extreme sport, I can tell you that for sure.

The solution is primarily used for project management. I've coordinated a large educational program that has multiple contributors and multiple organizers. It's a weekly program and we use it to outline our curriculum and keep track of the steps in the curriculum. I've used it for my own research projects as well in more of a traditional project management kind of way with tax, people, contingencies, et cetera.

I'm working around the project management delivery. Most of the use cases center around project management - planning, action items, decisions, issues, or rate logs, plans, and sometimes forms to collect information, however, not as much.

The most common use case for Smartsheet is collecting approvals because of the documented repository that can be shown to the auditors. Smartsheet has automated attachments. Users can easily and quickly make sure that certain mandatory approvals are collected efficiently. In addition, they will have an entire traceable archive of who did what and when.

With Smartsheet, you can export that as well. It also enables you to do analysis and develop dashboards. For example, you can track the average order processing time. It has all the capabilities of Excel but it enables you easy workflows. It's very intuitive in that regard and very customizable.

We're using Smartsheet at the enterprise level throughout the organization. We did a test at the corporate office before moving forward. In the beginning, we were only using Smartsheet to help our corporate users open new facilities and convert warehouse management systems. Also, we used it in implementation at sites with new customers. Eventually, we began using Smartsheet for entire projects. We transitioned from Microsoft Project to Smartsheet for all of our projects.

I am using the core Smartsheet product right now and one of their premium add-ons called Resource Management. It was previously called 10,000ft, but they rebranded it. We're launching various programs at this university, and each project has a lot of steps. We need to highlight the essential metrics that executives want to monitor and talk about at their meetings when they discuss the program launch status.

We built a dashboard in Smartsheet that pulls data from 50 different projects and highlights things like program launch dates, marketing launch dates, past-due items, at-risk items, etc. I have a module for revisions to existing programs. This dashboard feature sold us on the core product, and it's where we get the most value

The two critical use cases of Smartsheet are project management and task management.

We use the tool as the default software for managing all client projects. Our team of six uses it to create project plans and reporting dashboards for our clients.

We use the solution to manage and track operational tasks. We can create dashboards for services, design and distribute survey forms, and keep a check on project status using it.

I use Smartsheet to streamline our intercompany support process. Instead of sifting through emails, requests go directly into Smartsheet, where we manage and prioritize them. It helps us efficiently estimate projects for sales reps, keeping everything organized in one place and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

I use it to collect the status of various projects. Before we moved to Agile, a lot of us used it for project planning. In the PMO, I created a master list of all the projects in the company and basically just started compiling statistics on them, such as the project managers assigned to each project, what sprint they were in, and things like that. We are using its enterprise version.

We used Smartsheet for project plans. It was used for project planning. Basically, the timeline out, the beginning and end of a project, and what that process would be in terms of how many days, and what those phases in the project were.

We work for an IT corporate here. Any project that is going to have resources expended gets a project manager assigned. We use Smartsheets to track everything from the schedule to the actions.

It's a cloud solution. We're buying software as a service.

The primary use is for keeping track of work and ensuring that everyone on the team is aware of what tasks are being worked on and the progress of client-related processes.

We use this solution for portfolio, project, and program management.

We each have a license on our machines and use the solution online. It's deployed on the cloud.

We have 50 people using this solution. All of the senior leadership, program leaders, and project managers use this solution. You don't need a license to use it, but you need a license to edit. Everybody has access to it and can see the roles, responsibilities, and comment on it.

I use Smartsheet for my own personal task management needs and occasionally I'll share a sheet with somebody in the company when we're working on a particular project together. I tend to use it more for my ongoing long-term projects rather than for day-to-day needs. I'm a customer of Smartsheet and a KM manager and compliance officer.

Our internal Ops teams do engineering and deployment projects in Smartsheet. 

As I work in the legal department, my primary use case of this solution is to do legal requests and trace the legal flow. I also do monthly reports of the number of contracts we have done.

We're a large engineering company and we use Smartsheets in our various offices and locations to manage big construction projects, contract administration and project management for coordinating activities and tracking information. I'm the PM/CM practice leader.

We use the solution for tracking tasks and progress. We also use it for issue logging.

We used Smartsheet as a project management software tool. It's an open platform, companies can use it as for their requirements. It has lots of customizations, automation, and integration. They can integrate it easily. 

Many companies are using Smartsheet for CRM for asset management. They can customize their solution as per their requirement. Everything is customizable in Smartsheet.

A single integrated platform where multiple people can work. It can also be used to link to multiple sheets and for automation purposes.

We can use the solution to communicate and track tasks and projects. There are a lot of features.

We have a tracking system that we wanted to integrate with Smartsheet. We track people, assets, and costs using RFID, QR codes, GPS, and other methods, and we wanted to use the Smartsheet dashboards to present information to our clients. They would see the critical information, such as whether things were missing.

We are using Smartsheet as a sprint board center for tracking.

Smartsheet is a cloud storage service where I store all the project files. I also use the tool to create project schedules, automate approval flows, and create dashboards.

I use Smartsheet to plan small projects. It's good for putting down a quick-and-dirty project plan. I use it to create a list of tasks and track which ones are completed.

I'm basically using it to manage internal projects.

It works similar to Microsoft Project. The data integration with Microsoft Project and Smartsheet can be imported, and we can export it. 

It's good for the hybrid model, especially for the Agile model.
