Mule ESB Pricing
Mule ESB is a costly solution. We pay approximately $80,000 annually for the system. The cost of the number of instances, annual subscription, and cloud hosting services are expensive.
View full review »I would rate the pricing a five out of ten, where one is high price, and ten is low price. I would place it in the middle. It's neither too expensive nor too cheap.
View full review »The product offers a community edition that is free of cost. You will not get any support from Mule ESB's team for the tool's community edition. You can get support with the licensed version of Mule ESB.

Licensing costs are relatively expensive.
The pricing must be improved. We are not able to use a lot of the features because of the price. The customers are moving to other cloud solutions.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten.
The subscription is annual.

Its licensing was yearly. There were minor fees additionally, but those were related to VPN's high availability. When you purchase MuleSoft, you purchase it because it is highly available. So, you have to make sure that your VPN can support that. That's pretty much it. The other tools that we picked were things to deploy the solution to build the CI/CD pipeline using MuleSoft. We picked the one that wasn't free. So, we had to pay for it, but it was a minor cost.

The price of the Mule ESB commercial version is expensive. However, they have a free community version.

This is expensive. In my next project, we had to go to other vendor.
Apparently, this is the most expensive ESB solution out there as there is no more Community Edition.

The various features and components for this solution are no longer free.
View full review »It is getting expensive and I recommend clients to use Camel ESB if enterprise support is not required.
If a cluster is not required, then just buy the non-clustered version.

Consultant, Architecture and Standards at a tech services company with 51-200 employees
The licensing is yearly, and there are additional fees for services. For example, having the help of the architect was a separate fee.
View full review »It is cheaper than competitors in pricing and licensing. We have an open source option available as well.
Most of the licenses can be added as entitlements on top of a basic Enterprise license. Licenses are renewed every year and there is no perpetual license.

I would rate the product's pricing a nine out of ten. It is a pricy solution.
View full review »I would advise using the Community Edition if you are developing an application as an additional service to a customer or a non-critical Tier-2 application. You can do this without support.
Apart from support and a few additional connectors, the enterprise edition is not so different from CE.

This product is expensive, but it does offer value for money.
View full review »Get your basics right about your requirements and plan ahead especially w.r.t volumes, any premium connectors to be purchased and a rough estimate on integration touch points to get some idea on the overall cost.
Plan your licensing model (cloud or on-premises or hybrid) that will allow seamless integration with new partners.

This product is cheaper than some offered by other vendors, although there is a problem because you have to pay for some third-party adapters.
