View full review »Spotfire has been fairly stable and I would rate the stability as an eight out of ten.
View full review »We have found this solution to be stable. However, for optimal stability the hardware requirements need to be identified by evaluating peak load scenarios, and then put in place.
It's quite stable and reliable. The performance is great. There are no bugs or glitches and it doesn't crash or freeze. After working with the solution for seven years, I've never had any emergencies to contend with.

Spotfire is stable, although sometimes it is slow. That may be related to the company and how the data is being rendered, and where our servers sit for the databases. I don't think that its' a fault of Spotfire because I've seen it work with real-time data really fast. It seems, however, the implementation can cause it to lag a little bit.

I've had projects running for a while and have no particular complaints about stability. Originally, Spotfire is an offline analysis tool, so stability isn't a huge issue. It's much more of an issue when you do realtime statistical treatment with realtime data . That's where I mentioned they have to improve.
Tipco is a huge company and they have this policy of acquiring software all the time, which is an interesting yet aggressive policy for development. The problem when you keep acquiring companies is that at some point, you have to integrate the products. That's where things tend to take a lot of time. Afterwards, the integration can sometimes be wishy washy and I think this is what happens in the realtime space.
Spotfire has identified that there was something in the market that was asking for the consumption of realtime data and the provision of realtime dashboards and analysis. What they've done is half integrate another product that they bought and I found this strategy weak. I think this is where the stability will really become a critical factor, but overall, I would say so far so good.
View full review »The server product can have stability issues for certain use cases. The desktop product is fine.
View full review »We encountered a number of issues with certain Spotfire projects (.dxp files) after completing upgrades. These files were extremely complicated with R snippets running, and numerous datasets, transformations, and calculations being performed by the file. Spotfire allows users to create files that should not be created. In these cases, stability of a file is an issue. Stability and scalability of the solution itself is solid.
View full review »The most common issue is insufficient resources on host servers or laptops. Most other issues arise from custom applications integrating with new versions of Spotfire.
View full review »We have not encountered any stability issues.
View full review »Ours was a hosted solution with two servers. The main Spotfire server required very few restarts and it was normally down to a user creating a crazy report for millions of rows of data.
View full review »There is very little instability until the memory of the host reaches 0% availability.

It is pretty stable.
View full review »I have not encountered any stability issues.
View full review »The only stability problems we have encountered are due to the anti-virus software running on the servers, but it is very rare and runs 24x7 for months without any intervention.
View full review »TIBCO Spotfire is a stable solution that is able to handle a large data set and continue working efficiently.
View full review »Generally speaking, the software is quite stable (both the application and back-end server). However, we did experience application crashes from time to time when memory usage is heavy, but we aren't technical experts, so we could not identify exactly when/why it crashed.
View full review »Issues come and go by the Spotfire development team via the hot fixes and constant version updates. No major issues with stability from my end. If there are any, the issues are addressed quickly.

It's extremely stable. There may be some criticism, as a client, about it not being made available on a Mac, as opposed to just Windows. But on the Windows platform, it is fairly stable.

Its stability has been good. We experienced crashes a few versions back, but the current version that we're on has been stable.
View full review »Data refresh got stuck few times.
View full review »The stability is pretty good. However, if you have a decent-sized data set (maybe 100 columns by a few hundred thousand rows) and you create a lot of complex visualizations, sometimes the program will crash on you. As there is no auto-save feature, this can cause an issue sometimes.
View full review »If you use recommended hardware sizing, you should not encounter any stability issues.
View full review »Sometimes the Spotfire client crashes when you test a Python script.
There is an issue with the web player exhibiting the same behavior in all browsers. Sometimes, the property control in the test area is resized or not well displayed.

View full review »The TIBCO Spotfire product is really stable. No relevant issues have been encountered.
Most of the time the TIBCO Spotfire dashboard is used by business users. It was very common for them to notify us regarding weird behavior in business data patterns that was always ending with a discovery of bugs on the backend applications.
View full review »Some of the previous versions have had stability issues, but 6.5 appears very stable.
View full review »So far, not any noticed issue on stability.
