Highly scalable and easy to work with
Pros and Cons
  • "I like Webex because it is easy to work with."
  • "It would be better if I could just join meetings directly on the web without extra downloads and steps."

What is most valuable?

I like Webex because it is easy to work with.

What needs improvement?

In terms of improvement, every time I want to join a meeting on the web, I have to download an extension or the desktop app. It would be better if I could just join meetings directly on the web without extra downloads and steps. Simplifying this process would make things more straightforward and convenient for users like me.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Webex for almost four years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability as a ten out of ten. It is most suitable for small to medium businesses.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used Microsoft Teams along with other solutions like Webex, and in comparison, Teams stands out for its seamless integration with Office 365. The compatibility with business needs makes Teams a preferred choice. While both Teams and Webex serve their purposes, the ease of use and integration with Microsoft's suite of tools make Teams a more convenient option for me.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was not overly difficult, but it was time-consuming.

What other advice do I have?

For those considering using Webex, my advice would be to explore automation options, especially if there is an outside team involved. Automating certain tasks can streamline processes and make using Webex more efficient. Overall, I would rate Webex as an eight out of ten.

How has it helped my organization?

It is useful for me for having meetings with others and working well remotely.

What is most valuable?

It is very powerful and stable.

What needs improvement?

When I use it personally, not in my enterprise, there is a time limit of about 60 minutes. After one hour, the call gets cut off. This limit should be increased.

I have been using this solution for about three years.

Quick updates and integrates well
Pros and Cons
  • "Integrates well with other Cisco solutions."
  • "The solution could improve by having cross-platform compatibility. For example, if you wanted to have a call with someone with Microsoft Teams you could do it with Webex. Not everyone wants to use the same virtual meeting application."

What is our primary use case?

I am using the solution for virtual meetings and for file sharing.

What is most valuable?

Integrates well with other Cisco solutions.

What needs improvement?

The solution could improve by having cross-platform compatibility. For example, if you wanted to have a call with someone with Microsoft Teams you could do it with Webex. Not everyone wants to use the same virtual meeting application.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Webex for approximately

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed to use support because when there is an issue they fix it fast and sometimes you do not notice there was a problem.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used Microsoft Teams and Skype for business. We used them for instant messaging and for sharing documents.

Microsoft Teams is well integrated with other solutions, such as SharePoint. There is everything you need, such as email.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is an annual license required for this solution.

What other advice do I have?

Webex is a good product. I think it's nice when you have other Cisco products onboarded. It gives you the full configurations that you want. If you are using a Cisco telephone system and you using WebEx, it's the same thing. You can jump in from one end to the other. It is useful.

I rate Webex an eight out of ten.

Straightforward to access and easy to use but sometimes we have connectivity issues
Pros and Cons
  • "We can do the global meeting with this solution."
  • "Sometimes we've had issues with the connection."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for virtual meetings. My company is using the Cisco WebEx for most of their meetings.

What is most valuable?

It's very easy to access.

It's straightforward to use and navigate around.

We can do the global meeting with this solution.

Once you have an account, you can always set up meetings with people via Outlook. It's very simple. If you need to, you can just simply share the link with the people.

Users can connect from anywhere. If they have internet access or they have a phone, they can join a meeting.

What needs improvement?

Sometimes we've had issues with the connection.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've been using the solution since that pandemic started. We've used it for a few years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability is pretty good. We had a multi-meeting, multi-location connected meeting, and it worked pretty well. We needed help from our IT team to set it up, however, once it has started, it worked well. It didn't crash or freeze. There weren't glitches.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution can scale well and we haven't faced any limitations. We've had a global meeting without issue, for example.

Our entire organization uses the solution. There are thousands of employees.

How are customer service and support?

We normally deal with our own IT team and not outside technical support. Therefore, I cannot speak to how helpful or responsive they are.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is very straightforward. It's not overly complex or difficult.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I can't speak to the cost. I don't handle the billing aspects of the solution.

What other advice do I have?

I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. It offers a good connection and is easy to use, however, sometimes we see there's a connectivity issue.

One-click calling makes things easier, but it lags whenever we have multiple users
Pros and Cons
  • "Webex has one-click calling, which makes things easier. You click, and it automatically dials in to the meetings without pressing additional buttons. It's easy for people who aren't on WebEx. That was helpful."
  • "We switched from Webex to Teams because there was a lag in the WebEx experience and also a lack of integration. Easy integration with a free email account like Microsoft or Google would be helpful."

What is our primary use case?

I only use WebEx to communicate with one of the managing directors, because that is his default meeting platform.

What is most valuable?

Webex has one-click calling, which makes things easier. You click, and it automatically dials in to the meetings without pressing additional buttons. It's easy for people who aren't on WebEx. That was helpful.

What needs improvement?

We switched from Webex to Teams because there was a lag in the WebEx experience and also a lack of integration. Easy integration with a free email account like Microsoft or Google would be helpful.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We saw lag issues more often when we had multiple people connecting.

How are customer service and support?

We never contacted Cisco support about the lag issues because we didn't have time for a follow-up.

How was the initial setup?

Setup is marginally convenient, and that made a difference for the organization.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price of Webex was reasonable.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Webex seven out of 10. Regardless of whatever email integration you have, one-click calling is the easiest. Getting two things together isn't so hard from a business user's perspective. But when you're doing multiple things, that one extra thing becomes an annoyance you don't want to deal with, and you're hoping that an IT team set it up for you already.

Easy to install and use, and the remote control features are helpful
Pros and Cons
  • "Webex is easy to use, even for people who are just learning it."
  • "This solution would be much better if we could install an endpoint and have centralized management."

What is our primary use case?

I use Webex for having meetings in the cloud. For example, sometimes I use it for technical reviews with my team, and sometimes, I used it for education.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the remote control. I can share my screen, or control other PCs, which are very good features. I can do all of this from home without having to travel.

Webex is easy to use, even for people who are just learning it. They can join meetings or share content with the click of a link.

What needs improvement?

This solution would be much better if we could install an endpoint and have centralized management. This would allow me to subscribe, push an endpoint to the client, and then control these points.

I would like to see the inclusion of security agents, for example from McAfee or Symantec, which can scan the communication for threats. This would help avoid problems if a user has malware on their machine. Webex would also be able to scan for malicious files.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Webex for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability is very good and Cisco is doing a great job with it. We use it on a regular basis.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

This is a scalable product. In the past three years, I have not faced any issues related to scalability.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have been in touch with Cisco support and they are very good. For enterprise-level organizations, I find them very good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have also used GoToMeeting and Zoom. I found that Webex is easier to use than these other products.

How was the initial setup?

This cloud-based solution is very easy to install, with only a single click.

What other advice do I have?

My advice is simply that if this product fits the requirements then people should just start using it. It is very easy to use and can't be complicated, even for non-professional users.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

User-friendly, great for virtual meetings and offers an easy setup
Pros and Cons
  • "In terms of stability, the solution is reliable."
  • "Everything just needs to be shrunk down without sacrificing quality so that not so much bandwidth is needed in order to hold meetings effectively."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for virtual meetings.

What is most valuable?

You can use the solution for free.

It's a great solution if you need to connect for a virtual meeting.

The product is very easy to use. It's user-friendly. The overall simplicity of the solution is great.

Its audio is pretty good.

The solution scales well.

In terms of stability, the solution is reliable.

The initial setup is very straightforward and the deployment is fast.

What needs improvement?

The video requirement is kind of high. It requires a more stable network. There should be something done to compress the video - to compress the video size, not the quality while still maintaining good quality. Everything just needs to be shrunk down without sacrificing quality so that not so much bandwidth is needed in order to hold meetings effectively.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable. It's reliable. the performance is good. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution can scale well. If a company needs to expand it, it can do so.

We have about 30 people that use the solution.

We do plans to increase the usage in the future. As we increase the number of staff, we will increase the number of licenses we buy.

How are customer service and support?

We haven't had any issues with technical support. We are satisfied with them overall.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We use Zoom and Microsoft Teams alongside Cisco Webex.

Mostly, we use Microsoft Teams, which we actually pay a licensing fee for. We tend to use WebEx if a meeting was set up under it and in those cases, we can use it for free.

How was the initial setup?

We have found the initial setup to be very simple, very straightforward. The deployment is quick and only takes about 15 minutes or so. It's an easy process. It's not difficult.

You only need one person to handle deployment or maintenance tasks.

What about the implementation team?

I'm able to handle the setup myself. I did not need any outside help from any integrators or consultants.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We didn't pay for this license. We just use it to connect to specific meetings. It's just a free version that we leverage.

What other advice do I have?

It's a good product I'd rate it to others.

I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten.
