Real-time edit and update features are useful
Pros and Cons
  • "The feature I find most valuable is Business 365's real-time edit and updates. You can share files, and it will automatically create the link for you."
  • "However, people might think it's unstable if it hasn't been set up correctly. If the IT team hasn't configured it right, then you'll have a hard time using the product itself."

What is most valuable?

The feature I find most valuable is Business 365's real-time edit and updates. You can share files, and it will automatically create the link for you.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Business 365 for about two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

So far, Business 365 has been stable. Microsoft has been around for quite some time already. However, people might think it's unstable if it hasn't been set up correctly. If the IT team hasn't configured it right, then you'll have a hard time using the product itself. That is what I felt prior to joining this company. I thought Business 365 wasn't good, but I realized that the IT team had set it up incorrectly.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I think Business 365 is scalable because everything is in the cloud right now.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't contacted Microsoft support. Typically, I do my own research about fixes online, so I don't need to contact Microsoft.

How was the initial setup?

I'm unsure about the setup because my company laptop had the solution already installed when I got it.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Business 365 eight out of 10. It's a good product, but I can't really say whether it's the best, to be honest. But I'll rate it eight. Rating a product 10 means they don't need to improve anything. I rate it eight because Windows is constantly changing and improving it.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

User friendly interface, easy to use, and reliable
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable features are the user-friendly interface and ease of use. There is a benefit to not needing to install the application on your computer. For example, if you want to use Outlook or another application you can easily navigate to the website through your phone and quickly check your email. This is a very useful feature."
  • "I would prefer to use Microsoft Outlook rather than Office 365 because of the way features are available in Outlook. There are times it becomes difficult to get to certain features through Office 365. For example, if you want to recall an email that you have accidentally send across to someone this is not very easily available through Office 365. The shortcuts available through Outlook are not there in Office 365 Business."

I use Microsoft 365 Business to access the application that is part of the suite, such as Outlook.

Good support, highly scalable, very stable, and supports a lot of services and applications
Pros and Cons
  • "SharePoint and emailing are two technologies that are very widely used by all employees."
  • "Its price can be lower. It is definitely a bit expensive than other on-premises and cloud-based solutions. It can also be improved from the security aspect. We recently got the configuration of O365 components tested from an independent partner. While doing our analysis, we found certain gaps that ideally should have been covered as part of the implementation. Microsoft can look into these implementation issues and include a checklist as part of the implementation so that customers are aware of the minimum requirements for implementation."

What is our primary use case?

We are using it for our emails and SharePoint services. We are also using OneDrive for all Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, or Excel data analysis documents. We have its latest version.

What is most valuable?

SharePoint and emailing are two technologies that are very widely used by all employees.

What needs improvement?

Its price can be lower. It is definitely a bit expensive than other on-premises and cloud-based solutions.

It can also be improved from the security aspect. We recently got the configuration of O365 components tested from an independent partner. While doing our analysis, we found certain gaps that ideally should have been covered as part of the implementation. Microsoft can look into these implementation issues and include a checklist as part of the implementation so that customers are aware of the minimum requirements for implementation.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using this solution for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a very stable product. So far, we have not faced any issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is on the cloud, so it is highly scalable. We have around 1,800 users.

How are customer service and technical support?

Their technical support is good. I have not faced any challenges so far.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We were on Lotus Notes, and we migrated from Lotus Notes to this solution.

How was the initial setup?

There are two parts to it. The first part is the enablement of the subscription, which is done by Microsoft or the OEM after we procure the solution. The second part is where we need to write some components on our firewall, proxy, and antivirus.

The deployment was pretty smooth. In less than a week's time, it was pretty well configured. In the last four years, we have not faced any kind of issues with this solution.

What about the implementation team?

The OEM partner for Microsoft did the installation. Two persons can manage the deployment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It has a subscription-based model, so we need to procure as many licenses as required as part of an enterprise agreement.

It is a little bit expensive. It is definitely a bit more expensive than other solutions that are on-premises. It is also expensive as compared to the cloud-based solutions from other companies. However, when we look at the ease of use of the product and the adoption by the users, its cost can definitely be considered as comparable to other products. The features that we get in this solution are not available in solutions from its competitors.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend this product to others. With respect to the services that are available on O365 and the kind of applications that are available on the O365 platform, it is pretty good. We will keep using it.

I would rate Microsoft 365 Business an eight out of ten.

A multi-purpose, integrated solution with Teams as the best feature

Teams is the most valuable feature of 365 and I also appreciate that the solution is able to provide many different features such as cloud, OneDrive, Office, emails, etc.

What needs improvement?

UINUX for Microsoft 10 is so heavy for our users. For my students and staff it's sometimes slow to access the application, there are connectivity issues. I think Microsoft needs to make a light version for UINUX. I'd like to see an engine included.

We had our own internal team implement the solution.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is quite expensive and gets more expensive if you have to scale.
